Our group leader was so well versed, pleasant and knowledgable that I will consider giving this tour as a gift.

This was the second time I have taken Michele's tour, even though I am from Washington, DC.. Each time I learned a tremendous amount about the North End, Italian foods, cuisine and cooking. It is a fabulous way to spend three hours, each second of which is worthwhile. Michele's has an engaging personality. She is educational and entertaining. I most enthusiastically recommend the tour. Its actually quite a bargain!

Michele was amazing. Very informative about the customs of both Italy and the North End of Boston. We had visited the North End many times but now we have so much more knowledge of this neighborhood.

Michele Topor delivers an excellent tour of the North End! Her comprehensive knowledge of the region and its history, as well as her culinary expertise makes the tour engaging and delightful. Each moment was more tantalizing than the one before and the three hours flew by. Initially interested in the activity as entertainment for out-of-town visitors, I am greatful to have been introduced to the richness of neighborhood mere blocks from my apartment. I was prepared for a dull lecture with dates and names of people I hadn't heard of, but was pleasantly surprised by the very interesting discussion about Italian food, wine, and culture.

I went on this tour with my adult son. We are from Chicago and he is a college student in Boston. Beth did a great job. It was fun to explore many of the shops and bakeries, etc. in the North End. The shopkeepers were very friendly and gracious. Beth was informative and really knew what she was talking about. My one complaint is that I think the tour was overpriced. Other than that, I would recommend it to friends.

Beth was a suberb tour guide. This tour was a great way to learn about authentic Italian ingredients and the best places to find them in the North End. It was interesting to learn about what "real" Italian food is, as opposed to touristy Italian-American food. Beth was so energetic and knowledgable, I would recommend this tour to anyone who is Italian and likes to cook, or anyone who wishes they were Italian. It makes me want to travel back to Italia again soon!

What a great tour! I am from the Boston area but was always a bit intimidated by the North End (all of those tiny family businesses, being a stranger in a very tight neighborhood) but was welcomed with open arms and discovered some real gems. Beth was wonderful, entertaining and knowlegable. Three hours passed without me once looking at my watch- I will definitely do it again!

His food knowledge and presentation was one of the best I have heard. I think anyone that attends one ot these tours will enjoy it and take away a lot of history and food information.

We had a unique and educational experience.Our guide shared his love of the North End Markets and culture with great enthusiasm. We definitely will shop there again in the future. The merchants are extremely friendly and generous to their guests.

The North End was a delightful surprise, somewhat of a time-warp experience, exotic and foreign, yet warm and welcoming. It 's character must be preserved. We're eager to recommend this tour to one and all. Gift certificates for the tour are on our shopping list.

We were anticipating a great time but we were just thrilled with how wonderful the tour really was. Right from the start , Beth was a wealth of knowledge and an enthusiastic tour guide. She made us all feel very comfortable and welcomed throughout the afternoon. Her love for the Italian culture and food is evident as she shares excellent information regarding the North End of Boston, Italian foods, wines and Italian history. We are born and bred Bostonians and we learned more than you can imagine during Beth's tour. In addition, the local North End stores and merchants that we visited were extremely gracious. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in cooking, eating, drinking or anything related to the Italian Culture, it's really a gem of a tour!
