Even though I've been coming to the North End for a while, it was so awesome to see new and historical places outside of the commercial establishments. This tour really helped me to understand the importance that food serves in appreciating a culture's history. Thanks so much for a wonderful time. |

Our recent trip to Boston included the Italian Maket Tour of the North End. I highly recommend it to those interested in food & wines. We got a wondeful overview of the area from the tour guide and then the real fun began. Visits to wonderful, small shops that are unique. Samples of delicious pastries, yummy cheeses & meats, an awesome lemon slush & the best balsamic vinegar that I have ever encountered. All of this and more...A wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Boston! |

We were very lucky to have Jim as our tour guide. He was very informative and pleasant and alot of fun to be with. He answered any and all questions that were asked by my group as well as the others that were with us.
We all look forward to attending any other offers that you may be offering in the future. Please keep me updated so I can pass any and all information onto my group.
Also Jim's recomendations for lunch, bakery shop and grocerys were outstanding. Maria's Lobster Tails are the BEST (Just like Jim said)
Thanks Jim hope to see you soon.

Took the tour on a Friday morning, had only 1 other couple on the tour for a total of 4 people. Our guide was Jim , a former chef, who was very interesting and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure I would enjoy the tour or learn much since I have been coming to the North End for years. But I learned a little history, interesting food facts, and found some great new spots to shop & eat at. It was a nice way to get to know the neighborhood better and fun to do something a little different in the city. I plan on taking the Chinatown tour soon. |

Guide had good knowledge of North End. Would have enjoyed more samples from vendors visited. Having a voucher for 15% off purchases in stores/resturants for participants on tour would have been nice. |

Despite copious rain, our tour guide Jim did a very informative and entertaining job with our group. The emphasis of the tour was information rather than sampling. That information was unique and complete with plenty of background and side facts. The selection of sites included an authentic bakery, an awesome grocery store full of unexpected items, a complete wine shop, a genuine deli and a vegetable market.. I would support the advice to start the tour with a little sustenance. It would be a good idea to rest up also, since there is a lot of standing over the 3 hours. By the time the tour is over you will be ready to dine more completely. The recommended restaurant was one of the best we have ever dined in and that includes plenty in Italy. Overall I have recommended it to all our New England friends we have seen since the tour. I came away with confidence that I had seen the genuine and real Little Italy rather than a tourist's view/ |

We have been to the North End many times over the years and have tried many of the restaurants but taking this tour has opened my eyes to the many other stores and vendors in the area. Getting us off Hanover St. to the other stores and vendors was an eye opening experience. I will be visiting the deli, stores and bakeries Jim took us to on our next trip to the North End. I also hope to take the Chinatown tour with Jim in the future. He was great! Thanks for a great day despite the weather. |

For those who pride themselves on avoiding tourist traps, this is a must add item to your agenda. The North End Market tour showed its participants the "real" North End, with its history, people, traditions, and wonderful food and drink. As you nibble your way through this historic neighborhood, you get a real sense of place and pride. |

We have been to the North End before but this tour made it special. Our guide was very informative not only about food but the history of the area. The shop owners were all very friendly and helpful - even when we returned after the tour to stock up on ingredients. Most tours can tell you something new but this tour inspires you to do something new! I can't wait to use what I learned and try some of the recipes! |

It was obvious that out guide, Jim, is passionate about food and the North End. He did a great job of weaving educational information about various food elements with stories of how the tradition around the food began. He provided a little history of the North End which added depth to the tour and understanding of area.
We loved the tour and highly recommed it! |

friends recommended the tour but it was even better than said . We were in Boston for 4 days and it was cold and rainy but this really made it all worth while. I have already told several friends and co workers about what a great experience it was |
