Don't keep thinking, just book it!

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the area and were surprised when the time was up. The tour was extremely interesting and we got handouts because he knew we would want to be able to go back later and stock up. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the area who likes to know more about food and some history. Many tastes were provided to make you want to stay at each place. Each place we stopped had very friendly staff. We went back to each place in the following days and received special treatment everywhere. We saw other tours stop and listen to ours. Pay a little more and get the best. Don't settle for the cheap imitation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He was sure to ask about allergies and explained restrictions respectfully and with authority. It was clear the he not only knew a lot about the area, but also the food in general. We learned so much about the North End and the variety of foods discussed. It is very helpful to know where to shop and what to look for. Our experience was everything we hoped it would be. We'll be back! We have recommended this tour to several people and plan to take family members in the future

Tour was well organized and the tour leader was great. He was very knowledgeable about the area, its history, and its culinary treasures. The tour began and ended in a timely fashion and it was well paced. I highly recommend it.

Great tour - learned so much about the food and history of the North End. I was worried that three hours would be too long, but it just flew by. The handout provided allowed us to visit the stores after the tour. I have already recommended the tour to friends.

A Fun Taste of the North End!
Sat, May 2  10:00 AM kathymcq Female 50-59 Local Group of Friends
This amazing walking tour of Italian culture and cuisine in Boston's North End is fascinating and fun! The tourguide leads you through the quaint neighborhood to visit various shops, tasting samples of everything from proscuitto to pastries to Limoncello! If you're not Italian, you'll wish you were, by the end of the tour!

this is an entertaining way to get to know about an interesting area of boston. i've been in and around chinatown for over 30 years, and still learned new things about the neighborhood and its merchants. our guide was smart and funny, and really knows his way around chinatown. the food was great, too. what more could you ask for?

I strongly recommend this activity - for insight into Chinatown's history and culture as well as for a fun outing. The tour guide was extremely professional and well informed. The dim sum lunch was delicious and very filling. The stops along the way varied from a bakery to a tea shop to a grocery store to an herbal pharmacy - all very interesting!

DON'T MISS THIS TOUR!
Wed, Apr 29  2:00 PM nosnews Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This was absolutely a great tour. Our guide was informed, interesting, and fun. The afternoon was filled with history, geography, tips on plants, products, prep and cooking, local restaurants and shops. Fascinating! I would like to have taken notes, but would have missed a lot doing so; the handouts are very helpful. My daughter, who has traveled in Italy, and I were sorry when it was over, but excited to dive into "authentic" Italian cooking and reading at home. My somewhat sceptical husband loved it, as well. A repeat of the tour would be worthwhile, but I would like to try the Chinatown Market Tour next time. This tour is a must if you enjoy Italian food and culture, and if you don't enjoy it now, you will after the tour. Thanks for a terrific time.

My husband and I had a marvelous experience on this, the best tour of the North End there could possibly be. It was my second experience, and I'm so glad I went again as I'd forgotten so many valuable and important bits of information. Thanks again Jim! Judith Godfrey

We enjoyed Jim's knowledge of the area and his knowledge of food and cooking. We enjoyed the whole experience. We so enjoyed the North end tour that we called Michele's number and signed up for the Chinatown tour the next day.

This was a wonderful tour. I had been to the North End many times, but have now discovered new places, and gained so much information about the history of the area. The tour is not just for out of state visitors, locals would enjoy it as well. Great job!

Wonderful Day in the North End
Sat, Apr 25  2:00 PM mstoudt Female 60-69 Local Couple on a Date
Sunshine and 80+ degree weather provided a very pleasant atmosphere for this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the North End, Italian cuisine and the local shops. The shop keepers were all very gracious as we invaded their stores on a busy Saturday afternoon. The food samples were delicious and the expert advice on everything from what wine to serve when and how to pick an eggplant to what the difference is between fresh pasta and artisan commercial pasta was very helpful. The lemon ice was the best!! My one regret was not having a cooler to transport some of the delicious meats and cheeses back to New Hampshire.

I was so inspired to eat and start cooking. This was a nice appeasement for not being able to go to Italy. Michele kept us filled with samples and historical facts.

Michelle provided great history about the neighborhood and fun culinary facts. We are excited to go back to the little markets now that we have more information about what to buy and how to compare the quality of products.
