| This was a great tour with lots of information about the history as well as all the fun of the North End. It was not all the touristy stops that you would expect to visit but much more authentic. This trip is great for people that know about Italian history, traditional Italian food, both, or none of the above. A great tour overall even if it was freezing outside! | ||||||

| great guide - jim nice selection of outlets - more tastings would have been nice! definitely less than the NYC tours have done nice mix of history and food shame the stores dont ship outside US really recommended....so much better than visiting the place on your own - diffenent experience completely | ||||||

| This tour is fabulous! Jim provided us with history, food information, and a visit to several markets where we sampled wonderful things. The time flew by and all of our questions were answered. This tour is definitely a must for anyone interested in Italian culture and food. | ||||||

| Fascinating history and colorful anecdotes on Boston's Chinatown, with excellent visits to local bakeries, traditional Chinese pharmacy, BBQ, and grocery. Dim Sum was super! We would love a tour dedicated to just Chinese groceries -- how to shop for and prepare simple traditional foods. | ||||||

| I brought my family 2 boys 20+ and my wife. We had a great time learning and tasting. The guide was entusiastic and informned. My sons like to cook and got some great ideas from the tour. | ||||||

| Michele was terrific and very knowledgeable. The shops and discussion were interesting, and the samples were an added bonus. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about the North End and Italian cooking. | ||||||

| My sister found this tour online and suggested it was something she would like to do as a Christmas present - I am so glad she suggested it! Even though it was raining it didn't dampen our enjoyment. We received excellent history on the development of Italian food in this country, methods of cooking it, how to choose the best ingredients etc. We visited a butcher, a grocery store, a pastry shop and a liquor store - all with excellent narrative on what to look for. The visits included tasting of various small samples of the specialities in each, which certainly added to the enjoyment of the tour! Of course it primed us up to have lunch in one of the area restaurants right after the tour and sample the homemade pasta! And we certainly came away with a deeper appreciation of all that Boston's North End has to offer. | ||||||

| I can't say enough good things about the North End Tour! It was a birthday gift from my daughter who came with me and we both enjoyed it immensely. I grew up in Boston and have visited the North End on a regular basis but i never "knew" it like I do now. Our tourguide, Jim, was very helpful and knowledeable. I came home and bought two gift certificates as Christmas presents for other family members. Helen Babcock | ||||||

| Jim is a fascinating and knowledgeable guide. We all very much appreciated his expertise and his enthusiasm! The only suggestion our group has for Jim is that he should be willing to change the format of the tour in response to inclement weather. The day of our tour was extremely cold and we spent the first hour outside sitting on an ice cold stone wall listening to Jim's introduction to the tour. While the information he presented was interesting, it did not make up for the extreme conditions we were forced to endure. It would have been smarter to immediately take us in and out of the shops and present the information later on while we were all comfortably indoors at the dim sum restaurant. | ||||||

| This was such a fun informative tour!!! Jim, the tour guide is so knowledgable. The local shop visitations were a great experience. (The herbalist and the supermarket were my faves)The dim sum lunch was so great--without the tour guide we would have been too intimidated and wouldn't even know where to begin or what to eat. After Jim described wonderful Asian spring rolls, I was a bit disapointed when we didn't get to sample one. | ||||||
