Touring Boston's Chinatown with an enthusiastic chef would be good enough, but this chef knows Chinese language and culture from years in China. He also knows and loves Boston's Chinatown and wants to share it with you. Historical sketches of the area, notes on places to visit and things to try, tastes of local cuisine, and introductions to a variety of local shops culminate in a grocery store tour and dim sum lunch. We were not strangers to the area, but we ended the tour entertained, well fed, better informed, and ready to make more of our visits to Boston's Chinatown.

My wife and I got North End tour tickets for Father/Mother day gift and redeemed them in August. Jim was our guide and we loved it so much, we signed up for the Chinatown tour. We recommend it to all our friends and family. It was so informative and the Dim Sum meal was enjoyable and informative. Jim talked to us about the food and the history of restaurant along with the social importance of it. Unlike the North End tour which inspired us to change our "Italian" cooking and eating habits, the Chinatown tour will not do that because we don't cook oriental. But we are more knowledgable about the culture and food. Thanks Bernie and Diana LeBlanc

Fist let me say that this was the best tour I have ever been on! I just wish it was longer. Secondly, my family is from the North End and i learned more from the tour than I have learned from my family and they date back to the '30s. Our guide was just the best!

If you want a quick and effective introduction to China Town then this is the tour to take. And the food is great!

We had a great time learning about the North End and Italian food. This neighborhood is a treasure. We're from the Midwest, and we can't visit Boston as often as we'd like. But whenever we're in the Boston area, we'll try to return to the North End.
