Our large group of 6 cousins learned much history and culture about Asia and its regions. The tour was perfectly broken into visits between an authentic bakery, a westernized bakery, a market, and an herbal pharmacy, with stops at the butcher and tea shop. Dim Sum was quite an interesting experience and felt as though we were really in Asia! Not only was the tour interesting, but it made us all comfortable enough to venture to Chinatown on our own. Jim, our tour guide, was FABULOUS.

Tour was excellent. It was a great overview of the history and the food of Chinatown. Lots of great foods to try and a super dim sum lunch. I highly recommend it!

Fun tour for foodies as well as those who just want to see the side streets of Little Italy. Informative guide and personable shop keepers. Be ready to walk and stand for 3 hours. Will take the Chinatown tour next time we're in Boston.

My husband and I really enjoyed the market tour in the North End. It was different than anything we had ever done and we visited some awesome stores and markets - I have already revisited several of the markets that we were introduced to and hope to use some of the cooking and ingredient tips in our own kitchen! We found it both fun and very interesting.

Our Tour Guide was very good and informative. I would recommend this to anyone interested in knowing more about the North End neighborhood and it's specialty food shops.

The tour was very informative and interesting. The shops chosen for the tour were great - not "touristy" and definitely ones that you wouldn't have known about or entered on your own. The guide was knowledgeable but seemd a bit stressed with the size of the group, seemed to be concerned a lot about where people stood, that people were not lagging behind, and stressing there were no opportunities to have a washroom break. Still, all in all, very worthwhile. A small discount offered at some of the shops would have been nice and would have encouraged people to purchase (even if it meant coming back after the tour was over). I'm sure the shopkeepers wouldn't have minded.

Took you off the beaten path to places one would not normally frequent in the North End. I have personally been to the North End over 100 times (not an exaggeration) and had never once been into any of the shops that we visited. Very educational for any lover of food or wine. Bring a pad of paper to take notes! My 13 year old daughter (as well as my wife) also were enthusiastic about the tour. We went back to 3 of the shops that we visited to buy goods to bring home. Can't wait to go back to Boston again - and especially the North End!

I just loved this tour. The bakery, salumeria, cheese shop, wine shop and ingredient store provided a comprehensive education in italian american cuisine. The tour guide was a retired chef who gave us an education at each stop we made. This tour was a sheer delight and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Boston area

We were hesitant at first about the price of the tour, but it turned out to be completely worth it. This was the highlight of our trip to Boston! In fact, we enjoyed the shops and restaurants so much that we returned the next day to sample the wares again and buy little treats to take home. Thanks for helping us find a "forgotten" part of Boston and see it through a historical lens.

I went on the tour of the North End with some skepticism regarding if it would be too touristy, but was pleasantly surprised. The guide was excellent, possessing a gift for being both knowledgeable and accessible. It was as if your favorite uncle (who knows A LOT about a particular subject) took you on a tour of his neighborhood. The shops chosen for the tour were great, the shop owners were very welcoming and were inspiring in their pride for their chosen crafts. Kudos for how great this was and please let our guide know he is AWESOME!!

This tour is amazing. It takes you to places as a visitor that you wouldn't even think of going to. Wonderful guide who is extremely knowledgeable and funny! This tour is AWESOME! We had 11 women in our group that traveled to Boston, and all of us LOVED this tour! I highly recommend this to all!
