We really enjoyed our North End Market Tour - and I should mention that even my cynical, world-weary, 22 year-old daughter (who thinks her parents are something of an embarrassment) actually commented that she thought we had made a very good decision in booking this tour!
I would warmly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in in history, geography and/or food, who has a few hours to spare in Boston. |

Even after 30 years of dining in the North End and occassionally shopping, we found many new "gems." The best authentic bakery, coffee shop, shushi and fish, home made pasta and an unequalled selection of quality Italian wines at excellent prices.
The tasting was great, the guide's local knowledge and knowledge of Italy and Italian food was very impressive.
If you like Italy, Italian food or just really good food and wine, come find the secret garden of Italian delights. |

We had four people in our group, We all had a wonderful time. Our guide Dick was great! After the tour we had an hour before our dinner reservation, so we went back to some of the places that were on the tour. We would do it again with guests from out of town. |

If you have an interest in food, Italian culture or the history of the North End--take this tour. Beth, our guide, is a professional teacher--but her obvious love for the neighborhood thoughly enhanced her teaching talent! It was a delight for all 4 of us--2 men and 2 women. |

We had a great time on this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable, clear, and friendly. Although the tour focuses on food, it also included a substantial amount of information about the neighborhood and Chinese herbal medicine. People who are especially squeamish about animals as a food source may be put off by the butcher shops with whole animals. A few folks on the tour were non-adventurous eaters and seemed to not enjoy as much of the food as we did, though they still seemed happy with the tour. Overall, a great experience. |

Our guide, Jim,, a former chef, was informed, amusing and had a wonderful sense of humor. You could clearly sense his connection with the neighborhood of the North End. This was my second North End Market tour, but Jim made it all seem brand new. I highly recommend this tour for everyone! |

On our first day in Boston, we (six teachers from Washington State) went on the North End Market Tour. The short walking tour provided us with interesting and detailed information on the making of Italian food, the difference between authentic Italian food and American Italian food, an understanding of the wonderful ingredients that are part of Italian cooking, tasting samples at each shop and many wonderful places to return to do our own shopping! It also provided us with the rich history of Little Italy. This is a definite "must" when traveling to Boston and getting to know Little Italy! |

The North End walking food tour is very interesting, learned a lot about Italian foods, history and family life. Food samples were generous and places visiting varied quite a lot. |
