My two friends and I went to Boston for girls weekend. We planned on the tour a year in advance and promised one day we would do it. We LOVED it. We learned a lot and would recommend it to anyone, young or old. Our tour guide, Dick, was knowledgable and personable. He knew everyone and answered all questions without a moments hesitation. I would love to do the Chinatoen tour next.

I confess I was skeptical and participated with a group of girls. It was fun and extremely informative. A bit pricey. The "tastes/samples" do not constitute a meal, as indicated in the description. The references/handout might make it all worth it. It is nice to see the North End once again connected to the rest of the city now that the Big Dig is DONE! I"ve already recommended the tour and would do it again.

We really enjoyed the Food Tour of the North End as we found it very interesting and informative, We learned a lot about American Italian cuisine which differed from what we knew from travelling to Italy. Our guide Jim was very entertaining and kept you interested from beginning to end - the 3 hours flew by.

My husband and I had so much fun on the food tour of the North End of Boston. Michele Topor was very interesting had many facts about the neighborhood. I loved visiting the family shops and the delicious smells and food samples. It was alot of fun and I would do it again if the tour changed. This was my second time -- I thought my friend from CT would enjoy it and 3 of us made it a birthday gift (with dinner in the No End) for her. The leader was animated and informative. The choice of stores and markets was great and the samples were enjoyable! It might have been good to have a few minutes at the end of each stop to make purchases. Also, if the weather had been really cold or rainy it would not have been pleasant. Overall, highly recommend this tour!

Dick was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. My cousins and I really enjoyed the tour. We are from different areas of the state of Massachusetts and all learned something new about the North End.

We've been going to the North End to eat for years and will continue to do so. With the extensive knowledge of the markets that the tour provided, I plan to do some exciting shopping too! Our guide was terrific!

This tour will far exceed your expectations...

After taking the north end Italian market tour last spring I was eager to take the Chinatown market tour when I returned to Boston. Return I did, with my sister in tow this time, and we both loved it. I could tell my sister was not enthusiastic about it beforehand but once the tour started her tune changed. She said it far exceeded her expectations. Jim (our tour guide) is extremely knowledgeable, speaks fluent Chinese and has tons of anecdotal stories from his years in the restaurant business as well as living in China and Taiwan. Visits to a BBQ shop, traditional pharmacy, bakeries, antique store, grocery mart, etc. were fun filled and action packed. The time flies by and before you know it, you are having dim sum for lunch. Kudos once again for a very pleasurable experience! P.S. Please add more of these tours!
