| Although I have lived 20 miles north my entire life, I have never explored Boston's North End. Our tour guide, Beth, was very informative, and we learned a great deal. I appreciated the hand-outs at the end with good tips! It was great to meet the storekeepers. The weather on Saturday was horrible - the only thing worse would've been snow! It was a nor'easter - strong winds, torrential rain. Everyone was dressed for the elements, however! For the price, I would have liked the tour to have been a bit longer, adding a couple more stops. But, it really was fun, in spite of the weather! Our group was (3) life-long friends celebrating our birthdays. | ||||||

| I bought this tour as a present to my sister who loves the North End and didn't expect to enjoy it so much myself! We were both very entertained by the tour and our guide who gave the perfect amount of information--wasn't overwhelming, but we learned a lot. Next summer we plan to do the Chinatown tour as we bet it will be just as fun. | ||||||

| The gentleman who ran our tour was so very nice and gave us some wonderful history of the area. I just think that some of the stops could have been a little shorter. All in all I would recommend this to friends. | ||||||

| This tour is great for the person really wanting to learn about true Italian cuisine. Our tour guide was a retired chef who truly knew his stuff! We learned all about different types of Italian pastries, meats, cheeses, produce, good olive oil and balsamic vinegar and lastly, liquors and wine. Came away knowing what to buy if wanting true Italian ingredients but not where to eat good Italian food in the North End of Boston. Kinda disappointed in that one! | ||||||

| This was a great tour with lots of information about the history as well as all the fun of the North End. It was not all the touristy stops that you would expect to visit but much more authentic. This trip is great for people that know about Italian history, traditional Italian food, both, or none of the above. A great tour overall even if it was freezing outside! | ||||||

| We enjoyed every minute and only wish the tour could have been longer but understand the time constraints. We learned so much. Jim was extremely knowledgeable and very informed about the North End from it's early days to what it is today. His culinary expertise was evident and he could not have been more personal. All of the shop personnel were generous to allow us into their space and they were all very courteous. We will be recommending this tour without question. A meal or perhaps a cooking class would be a nice addition. Walking up and down the streets of the North End with the residents going about their daily shopping routines, listening to all of the different languages, watching them interact with the shop keepers and seeing what they purchased gave us a real sense of living there. It was fun to be among them! | ||||||

| I'm program director for a philanthropic education organization whose main purpose is to raise money for women's education. However, we are also a group of friends who delight in getting together and sociailizing also. When I introduced the North End Tour, the response from everyone was book it!!. Registering on line was easy and the instructions recieved in the mail were a big help.There were 13 in our group and our host (Alec?) was very knowledgeable and accomodating. The appetizers at each stop were delicious. The group size was a big plus. Everyone has E mailed me about how much they enjoyed the tour. It was something new, eduational, and fun too.. We will definitely book the China Town tour next fall. | ||||||
