Jim was a fantastic tour guide! My brother and I enjoyed the tour so much and we learned more than we ever expected to about Chinese food and culture! I now feel confident finding my way around Chinatown to eat and shop. Thank you Jim, for sharing your knowledge with us! You were a warm and welcoming host who made everyone feel like honored guests on the tour! |

Took the tour on a Friday morning, had only 1 other couple on the tour for a total of 4 people. Our guide was Jim , a former chef, who was very interesting and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure I would enjoy the tour or learn much since I have been coming to the North End for years. But I learned a little history, interesting food facts, and found some great new spots to shop & eat at. It was a nice way to get to know the neighborhood better and fun to do something a little different in the city. I plan on taking the Chinatown tour soon. |

I booked this tour with my husband and 3 children in their 20's. We are Italian but the other reviews said it would be interesting and we would see and learn about new things. True we did learn a few new things. But the tour was soooo slow and much too dragged out! We spent 45 min in a pastry shop discussing every pastry. My kids were very bored and almost fell asleep. I do want to say our guide was very nice. It's just that the tour was about 1.5 hours too long. Sorry but don't waste your money. Just go to the stores yourself. It would be more fun. |

Great tour, and Jim was a great guide all around. We've eaten in Chinatown many times but learned all sorts of interesting stuff. We'll definitely do his North End tour sometime. |

We had a great tour. The guide was extremely knowledgable in both the fine fine points of Italian foods and in the dietary customs of Italy. We had plenty of great samples. Although the tour is 3 hours, we walked only a few blocks. |

This was a nice tour -- informative regarding both food and the North End. I especially appreciated the handouts of recommended shops & restaurants, and returned to Boston the following week to explore. |

We had been to Boston a few times before but this was the first time we took this tour. Myself, my husband and my teenage daughter enjoyed the tour, the information and tasting the samples. We all recommend this tour. |

This was so much fun, with great information about the North End of Boston and it's cuisine. This inspired me in many ways by giving me a better understanding of the high quality of items that can be eaten in the North End and purchased for home cooking.
It's a must after walking the streets of the North End to eat at one of the fine restaurants!!
I would recommend this great experience ! |

This was a wonderful tour of the North End. Our guide was pleasant and extremely well informed. We learned a lot about the history of the North End, as well as the cooking techniques in northern, central, and southern Italy. Our tastings were delicious! Well worth going to.

We toured Little Italy with a small group of 5 people which made the experience quite enjoyable. Our tour group guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the area and the specific businesses we toured. The tour covered a variety of Mom and Pop stores and the sample treats were plentiful and quite good. We use quite a bit of Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar in our daily menus and we learned about the various qualities and labeling to look for when purchasing these items. We will now seek to purchase the high quality products, since we know what to look for on the labels. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a serious Italian cuisine lover. It proved valuable to not only locals, but to anyone who has an interest in Italian cuisine. Do not expect to have a full course meal, but you should be quite satisfied with the samples. |

I loved the North End tour so much that I took it twice, but the Chinatown beats it hands down. Terrific guide with deep knowledge of Chinese culture, history and cuisine. Looking forward to taking this one again. |

This tour was EXCELLENT!!! The guide (Jim) was tremendous. He talked for three straight hours and gave us some great advice as well as telling us about the history of the North End. A must tour for anyone who likes to cook (and even non-cooks will enjoy the tour). The six people in my group have been raving about the tour for the last four days...... highly recommend it. |
