| Although I have lived 20 miles north my entire life, I have never explored Boston's North End. Our tour guide, Beth, was very informative, and we learned a great deal. I appreciated the hand-outs at the end with good tips! It was great to meet the storekeepers. The weather on Saturday was horrible - the only thing worse would've been snow! It was a nor'easter - strong winds, torrential rain. Everyone was dressed for the elements, however! For the price, I would have liked the tour to have been a bit longer, adding a couple more stops. But, it really was fun, in spite of the weather! Our group was (3) life-long friends celebrating our birthdays. | ||||||

| Enjoyed the tour. Jim was so very knowledgeable. The dim sum was great. After the tour my friend and I went back to some of the stores we visited with Jim on our tour. We were not well received. The same people we saw with Jim were not courteous at all and acted liked they didn't know what we were asking for. The Silky Way and the Herb Shop were the two shops. I will never go back to Chinatown for that reason. The tour is a great take for anyone and I would recommend the tour highly. Joan Pierro | ||||||

| It rained hard the afternoon that we did this, but it did not interfere with the tour. We got a lot of information, and are trying to buy some of the things that we heard about near our home in N.H. We have already recommended the tour to other people. | ||||||

| This was a great trip the guide provided the goup with a lot of interesting informaiton. It will certainly make future visits to the North End excting. We actuallly went back and visited many of the stops along the way to make purchases before we headed home. Can't wait to do the China Town Tour. | ||||||

| This tour was really fun. There were plenty of stops and samples and it seemed well worth the money. I would say though that I think the tour is more geared towards people who live in the city or travel into the city frequently. Most of the tour was showing us hole in the wall places and what they have for sale, which is interesting but not super useful if you don't come to the city often. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a resident of Boston and not knowing much about the north end. Not saying you shouldn't go on the tour if you aren't from the city, there is plenty of history and tastings to give you an idea of what the north end and Italian cooking is about. I think it was my favorite thing I've done in the city in the time that I have lived here. | ||||||

| This tour not only provided the participants with some terrific samples of the best that the North End's Italian community has to offer, via its markets, bakeries, and shops, but provided everyone with a wealth of information about the history of the area, its traditions and customs, and, of course, its foods. | Jim was prompt in starting and keeping on schedule. His knowledge of Chinese language, culture and food was exceptional. The different shops and C-Mart included on the tour were most interesting and fascinating. My wife and I most enjoyed the lunch very much, it was so different from our idea of a "Chinese Restaurant". | I loved this tour and I highly recommend it! We received great information on the Italian/Mediterranean diet and were able to learn about their culinary culture. We were also given the history of the area and got great recommendations of the restaurants in the area. | ||||||
