Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

we saw a pod of killer whale it was so awesome to see them in the wild!!!

We saw a pod of 10 Orca Whales that we followed for quite some time. Then a Blue Whale who surfaced 7 times. What an incredible experience! Thank you!

My mother, from Michigan, myself and my daughter enjoyed a tour with Princess. The water was a little choppy, but the captain and crew did a great job steadying the boat/ship and tending to passengers that were queazy. The crew was friendly and also chatted with us, answering any questions and socializing We saw a mother humpback and her calf. It was a great experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a friendly personable experience. Thanks!

I decided to take my parents on this whale watching trip for a Mother's Day present and I could not be more happy with the result. First off, my mother had the time of her life and left there wanting to go again. While on the water, I got a little seasick and right away a crew member came over to help and see if I was okay. They taught me how to calm my sickness a bit with certain techniques and they kept checking up on me throughout the trip. Overall, the crew was wonderful! As for the whale sighting...couldn't have been better! We were lucky to see two humpback whales! A mother and child! Perfect for mother's day! That was definitely a pleasant surprise. The whales were so beautiful. I swear the boat got completely silent when we were looking out at them. The experience was one my family and I will always remember.

I felt very secure with the Princess Montery and the crew. I think I had a misconception of what I might encounter... Thinking whales would be quite close and numerous. Thanks to the knowledge and determination of the captan we did encounter a mother Humpback and its's calf (perfect on Mother's Day) . Mother Nature is hard to predict... And I believe this crew will give it their best to make the clients trip memorable!

I brought my granddaughter she had a real nice time. I will bring my other grandchildren in the future.

Seeing a couple of humpback whales from such a short distance was much more then I could expect.

Boring at first while your motoring around to find them. Took about 2 hrs to find them but man was it worth it. Beautiful creatures.

I would recommend Princess Monterey for whale watching. Now no-one can guarantee you see any nature, that's is nature itself and part of the excitement. However go with the right company and you'll have a better chance. At the pier before even getting on the boat we saw a Sea Otter with its cub eating a small octopus and swimming, also saw a great seal and lots of sea lions. The boat was a good size and we paid an extra $20 ech to go on the top deck which gives you a 360 view and access to the sea to see everything. There was a biologist or something narrating on board about the wildlife and was very knowledgable and answered any questions even if she was over excited all the time, but hey I would be doing her job. We were lucky enough to find a large Humpback Whale which was feeding on the Krill, we followed it for about an hour watching it swim and dive like they do on nature program's with th tails coming up out of the water. It iced and appeared really close to th boat which was awesome. The captain was great t keeping the distance hn he could so not to disturb her but they are inquisitive mammals so tend to come close to the boat. Go for it, even if you don't see anything it's a great tip out in the ocean :)

Great experience! Crew was friendly and very informative! Seen Blue & Humpback Whales on our 3 hr trip. We will be taking this cruise again this summer.

We had a great time this is our second trip on the Princess. The crew on board was wonderful again we got a chance to see 4 Humpback whales this time. We were hoping to see Orcas but we were not able to see any. I recommend this boat trip to anyone who wants to go and see the whales.

We really enjoyed the whale watching cruise. We saw both whales and dolphines and heard a lot of interesting facts of them. Weather was great too so we enjoyed the sun and it didn't get too cold.

The whole experience was amazing. The guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and his passion for marine life was infectious.
