Hundreds of dolphins, but no whales.

| Well organized and passionate crew. We were excited to see all of the hundreds of dolphins that were of two types of species, but were sad that no whales could be found that day. Plenty of other sea life made the trip worth it and fun. Bring warm clothes. | ||||||

| We went out on a gray, cloudy day, sailing for what seemed forever. Finally saw two killer whales! I realize that we are dealing with wild animals who don't operate on schedule, but my daughter said it was too much time on the ocean--2 hours 40 minutes--just to see flippers wave! | ||||||

| This is my second year with this particular tour. They are fantastic. Each time we saw whales, dolphins, and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it. | ||||||

| Seeing the whales was the highlight of our trip. We saw about 5 whales and several dolphins. The whales even came right up to the boat. We have several amazing photos. Watching these huge humpbacks breach was awesome. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. | ||||||

| A friend of mine came to town for the weekend and we took the earliest trip on the Princess. I am a local and have always wanted to go, but her visit gave me a good excuse to go without the kids. It was a wonderful trip! We saw humpback whales and dolphins along with the regular Monterey Bay sea creatures (sea lions, seals, etc..). We spent quite a bit of time out near the feeding grounds for the whales and saw them surface a number of times. It was amazing and luckily, we booked our trip on a day with some of the nicest weather we've had in months! It was great! It is imperative that you wear layers if you plan to stay out on the deck for the trip out into the bay. The temp was in the 70's on shore, yet on the way out, I wore a shortsleeve shirt, sweatshirt and jacket with hood. It was chilly! If you stayed inside the cabin, I'm sure you could get away with less layers, but the temp definitely dropped about 10 degrees out on the bay. Regardless, it was a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone - even those with children - as long as they were at least 5 or 6 years old. Good time! :) | ||||||

| Aside from a really rough ocean, it was a great ride. While one nevers knows what one might see, we were lucky enough to spot many Pacific White-Sided dolpins, several who rode the bow wake. We also saw several Humpback whales, spouting and diving. The captain slowed the vessel at each sighting and followed along with the pod of whales, offering many photo ops. I would go again in a minute! | ||||||

| Although the water was very choppy and rough, I had a great time. We did see humpback whales and also a grey whale momma with her calf. Also saw tons of Pacific Whitesided Dolphins. This whale watching tour was the highlight of my trip to Monterey. | ||||||

| Was a foggy ride out of the bay but it cleared up and we saw multiple dolphins and two humpbacks. Nice crew and great info given on the tour. It was my first time whale watching and I enjoyed it very much. So from a first time visitor, I would recommend this company to anyone undecided. | ||||||

| The ride out was quite bumpy due to really choppy water... but the one humpback whale we saw was well worth the trip out. The guide gave lots of info on the way out and did point out that the ride was bumpier than usual. The whale was also more actively moving than usual and we ended up chasing kind of in a circle. It was cool that two other boats were also coordinating in spotting the whale's location. In the end we did see the whale come up about three to four times... enough to get at least one picture. I'm sure if the trip was made in the middle of a season instead of in between there would have been a higher chance of seeing more whales. All in all a good trip and I would definitely recommend and go again. | ||||||
