We weather was perfect. We saw lots of humpbacks and two pods of Orcas. I would have liked the captain to advise people that they didn't have to run from side to side of the boat. He could move the boat around so everyone could see. I'm short so when everyone ran to one side several people couldn't see I have been on this boat before and the captain let everyone know that he would move the boat around so that eevryone could see. The crew was great explaining things and being helpful to people who got seasick.

A peak into the whale world.

What a treat me and my daughter had in Monterey bay! Whales feeding, spouting, flukes, dorsels and the orcas that came so close to the boat! Plus the birds, sea lions, seals and sea otters! WOW!

Dolphins and Whale Breath

I whole-heartedly recommend taking a whale watching tour with Princess Monterey Whale Watching. The crew was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the trip was fantastic. Almost right out of the harbour we saw Risso's and Northern Right-Whale dolphins. Then there were Blue Whales (very rare) off in the distance. A short time later we encountered a large number of hump back whales. There were so many that the skipper put the boat in neutral and the whales got so close to the boat that you caould almost touch them. You could also smell the krill breath when they exhaled. That was stinky but the trip was a huge success. I will definitely book a tour with them again, next time I am in Monterey.

Fantastic Whale Watching trip. Got to see whales and dolfins. It is very cold but we were well prepared with jackets, gloves and hats. A must to take Dramamine before you leave and also I had anti-nausea medication on hand which we needed on the boat.

The trip was well organized and we were lucky to see dolphins and whales. The captain gave good explanations but it was hard to hear him outside. Make sure you dress in layers and wear mittens to keep warm.

We've been whale watching twice before in Alaska and Seattle. But this was the best experience by far. We were among many whales lunge-feeding, and at one point could see right in one's mouth as it surfaced. Really spectacular!

Fantastic experience. Wheather was great in August this year. We saw about 20-30 Humpback whales and 4 Blue whales. Distance was between 30 and 200 meters. I have made beautiful pictures. I would have liked the trip to be twice as long but I was satisfied with the experience. Would do it again for sure in the future. Best regards, Family and friend from Zaandam, The Netherlands.
