A Fabulous Morning!

My husband gave me this whale-watching trip as a birthday gift, and I must say it was the best gift ever! I was impressed with the naturalist on board who continued to fill us in on the various species we saw while sailing. The other crew members were very attentive to all the passengers throughout the trip, and I noticed they were extremely helpful to those who became seasick. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in not just whale watching but to also learn about what lies below the water in the Monterey Bay! Definitely money well spent, and we plan to do it again in the future.

I loved the Princess Monterey Whale Watching tour! I chose the 10am tour since the water is usually calmest in the morning. The boat is nice since it has both outdoor and indoor seating (to warm up) and it was smooth in that you didn't feel every wave. Also, our tour guide was lots of fun and educated us on the whale and dolphin behaviors. We were lucky enough to see 2 humpback whales, 5-6 grey whales, and 100's of Risso Dolphins! It was definitely a great trip for a Saturday morning!

100 yards is too far to see anything. In Mexico we were able to be right next to the Whales. This rule makes no sense; and if you cant get any closer than 100 yards, you might as well not go. The only thing that made it worth while was that we did run across a school of dolphins that were right next to the boat.

We got to see hundreds of dolphins, several whales, and lots of sea lions. Had my 12 year old son and 5 year old daughter with me. We got a little motion sickness but it was very much worth it. The trip lasted 2 1/2 hours which was perfect. More than that and it would have been too long. Had a wonderful time and my kids will remember this for a life time!

This is the second tour I've done on this boat. Both times had pretty good viewings, and both times the announcer was pretty educated and told us lots of cool things about the whales and local geography. I'll be back, and definitely recommend to everyone else.

I've been whale watching with this company on three separate occasions and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. I've seen humpbacks, gray whales, a few kinds of dolphins, and even a blue whale. I highly recommend one of their trips!

this was a last minute booking as our original trip on another boat had been moved up an hour and by the time we had been notified it was too late and we missed the boat. This crew was very friendly and helpful they assisted with the boarding recommended the best places to be on the boat for less movement as we were going out on a day when a storm was expected the following day and we had possible breezy conditions. The crew was very knowledgeable the captain explained alot and while it was cool and breezy the ride wasn't reay bumpy or wild as the captain did his best to make it a smooth ride as possible and it was as bumpy as you would expect on the ocean in a boat that size we did have one passenger who felt seasick and a crew member brought her to a point in the boat where it wasn't as rocky and stayed with her the whole trip and did everything they could to assist her she even enjoyed herself in the end as we did spot whales and dolphins it was explained what we should look for as signs of whales and when they were spotted they were pointed out it was explained what they were and we were given info on them The captain positioned the boat giving everyone on board good views of the whales and we stayed with them giving everyone great chances at pictures we saw their tails and it looked like one rolled over and of course their spouts my grandaughter got excellant videos of the whales and was so excited we went from being bummed at missing our whale trip to being so excited at being able to catch this trip and seeing whales! the Princess saved our day Thank you

It was a miserable day to be going out. The crew was very helpful and insightful. They had great advice on sea sickness. They were right on. They provided lots of information on the area and the sea life. Very friendly and best of all we saw 3 gray whales for a long stip of the trip. Just what we went for. Highly recommend the top deck. Gray whales stay close to the surface, but up top you could visibly see them rise and arch back into the water. BEAUTIFUL!
