This was the first activity we did on our recent vacation to California and it was over the top and a great way to begin a vacation! Very organized, staff very friendly, boat very clean and comfortable. I was about to give up on seeing any whales, when we saw a blue whale and calf. Not sure if we saw the same whales over and over again, but fortunately, every time whales appeared, they were on our side of the boat. We also saw a fin whale. Just a bunch of fun at what I consider a reasonable price and I'd do it again in a minute. Website was easy to navigate. Highly recommended for anyone, but please purchase tickets in advance! You don't want to miss this experience. |

Whale Watching with Great Naturalist Commentary

I enjoyed this trip for three reasons: First, the onboard naturalist did a great job talking about the local history, geography and efforts to protect Monterey Bay, in addition to identifying jelly fish, birds, fish, and of course, the whales. When it looked as if we would not see humpbacks, the captain took us out farther than usual, and we were rewarded with several sightings of blue whales. Finally, with this company, you feel very safe. The boats are well-maintained and the crew is very professional. I will definitely take a whale-watching trip with them again in the future. |

Need to give more information for passengers

We saw only 4 to 5 whales far away. The company needs to tell participants before the purchase of tickets that they may not see very many whales. The boat kept going more than one hour before we saw the first whale and that information has to be given to them ahead of time. Also, it needs to advise them to wear very warm clothing because it was very cold. |

We had a fantastic time on the trip and saw several blue whales and a fin whale which was very exciting! We did have to travel quite a long way out to find them but when we did it was truly amazing. The marine biologist was extremely knowledgeable, interesting and enthusiastic about all sealife so that was great. Before we booked we were quite worried by the number of reviews saying they felt seasick so half our group took anti-nausea pills before but we were all absolutely fine as was everyone else on our trip! We were lucky in that the weather was pretty calm but from some of these reviews it seems that everyone is doomed to illness whatever the weather - certainly not the case. We're all really pleased we went and would like to go again to see what else we might see. |

We actually saw whales! Unfortunately I was motion sick, even though I took dramamine. But the trip was awesome. They want you to see whales and do everything in their power to get you the best views. Good size boat. Try to sit in the front-outside, or second choice, an outside-side seat. The inside of the boat was stuffy. |

Was impressed with the knowledge that the guide had about the whales, sealife and birds that we encountered.
Exciting seeing the two Orcas, Were a bit disappointed that we did not see any grey, humback or blue whales
but that was not the fault of the tour.
A very good cruise despite the seasickness. (Not their fault either) |

Enjoyed the boat ride; good narrator - very upbeat and informative; would have liked to have seen more whales; never saw so many jellyfish in one place. |

We went on this trip August 23. Not prime whale-watching season - but we saw one Humpback whale who even breached a couple of times and a small pod of Russo's dolphins from afar. The naturalist who accompanied the trip had lots of interesting information about ocean currents, animals and history. That made the trip very enjoyable and the calm seas made for a nice boat ride despite the lack of critters. |

The wheals were far away, we only saw one type of them. We don't see dolphins or any other mammal. And we only see little pas of three wheals. I hoped more |
