We saw 2 Humpback whales-they were breaching and showing off for us the whole time! They even came right up next to our boat it was fantastic! We also saw 3 different types of dolphins-it was a great trip. Highly recommend

Mother's Day 130p cruise was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Two different types of dolphin's, a School of sea lions, and those AMAZING friendly Humpbacks! They came right up to the boat, high-fived us, blew whale spit on us, and left ...wow!! I HIGHLY recommend Princess Monterey, and *especially* with the guide, Catherine!! What...... a character! Totally made it fun and delightful! Thanks Catherine and Princess for a wonderful Mom's day! If you are on the fence, sail with Princess... Totally worth it!!

Just remember to takeyour sea sick medicine. I did and still felt woozie. Could not even take pictures because the water was so swellie. But would recommend it, really nice boat with lots of room. We saw other boats and this one was the best. Thank you!

It was my fourth Whale Watching Trip and I would definitely do it again with your charter. The naturalist was very knowledgeable and I liked the overall experience. We were also lucky that we had some very good weather. Deepak.

bad weather condition

It was very nice informing me of possible cancellation of the planned afternoon tour and advice to change to morning tour. However, the rescheduled tour in the morning was a total failure, ie, unpleasant cruise on rough waves and nothing to watch except a dying sunfish. I believe we deserve a refund or rain-check for a reschduled tour.

I would like to begin with the boat; a 100' foot princess was very nice. The leaders were very entertaining and yet very professional as well. Even though the seas were a little rough, it was quite the expierence. The one thing I do warn others is that if you have never been on a boat, be prepared that you may get sea sickness.

It would have been better if I hadn't been seasick

My husband and I went on this trip as part of a romantic long weekend. However, it's not very romantic when you're trying your hardest not to vomit. Yeah, I got seasick. I took the motion sickness pill an our beforehand like I was supposed to, but it only helped for the first few minutes of the trip. However, we did see whales! And we smelled them, too! And they have some seriously rotten breath! FYI, not a nice thing to smell when you're queasy as can be. Our guide was great.... very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. And although I felt sick and yucky, she told me I looked great, so extra points there :-) So basically, if you're not prone to seasickness, or you're a trooper: GO!!! It's amazing. I could have just kicked myselft for getting sick and missing out on the excitement. There were whales all around us, but I was scared to take my eyes off the horizon, so I missed out on a lot. Can't say I would risk doing it again, but I would reccomend it to those who can hang!
