This whale watching excursion was the high light of our trip to California from Colorado. The boat was large, the crew was professional. Everything was on time, and we saw 2 pods of gray whales. It was a wonderful experience. |

The captain really tried to ensure that we saw whales. We were really lucky to see at least 5 humpback whales on our trip. It was a bit cold and choppy, but well worth it for the experience. |

The whale watching trip was a little less than expected, but exciting. I tried to remain positive with the brief sightings of whale body parts darting below the surface, but it was just disappointing, and somewhat boring with their distance so far away. If you blinked your eyes at the wrong time, you missed it. Too few sightings for the time spent. We were treated nicely by the crew. |

Out of our group of 5 adults and one teen, I was the only one who had trouble with seasickness. Since I knew I was at risk from past experience I came prepared with Bonine and a Relief Band, but still felt quite green for much of the time. If you do not have trouble with such things, then this is a great trip. We saw a number of whales and the naturalist guide was helpful, but I would definitely recommend ONLY to those who do not experience motion sickness!! |

We were thrilled with the trip. I would STRONGLY advise everyone to take some sort of sea sick preventative. I know for myself I need it so I always wear patches. We were told that our day out was very smooth & if that was so then I would have had a hard time even with a patch.
Everyone working the trip was most helpful & showed true concern for our time. The marine biologist was so entertaining & educational. Thanks for a great time! |

The staff and crew were great. We unfortunately did not see any whales but did see a large group of Risso Dolphins. Ocean was ruff with big swells. I took dramamine and did not eat before going out, otherwise I would definately have been sick. many others did get sick, but that's part of deal. |

It was a good experience for me, my husband and our well-socialized dog. The captain and the marine biologist welcomed my dog very much (but of course, your dog should be well-behaved and on leash at all times during the trip). I would recommend this to those who are patient to wait for the whales to surface on the water. This excursion is also for the true wildlife lovers, should understand that whales can be quite elusive but are fun to see once they're there. Sea birds are also fun to watch. |

Staff was great, was able to see a few whales and even had some breech right in front of the ship. We would do this again and would recommend to others. |

When we stood at the boarding gate, the driver of the Princess Monterey told us that it's a little choppy out there but it's nothing to stop us. When we got into the boat and out into the ocean, there were 40-50 foot swells. It felt like the boat was literally jumping into the air it was so rough and bad. I ended up getting sea sick and had to lay down the entire time. I know for a fact I wasn't the only one that was sick. If that man would have told us that it was going to be THAT bad, I never would have gone, but needless to say, I was stuck on the boat extremely sick for 2 1/2 hours!! The people who DIDN'T get sick got to see a few humpback whales which was good, but it definitely wasn't worth it!!!!!!!!!!
I recommend this cruise as long as there isn't swells out in the water!!! |

Everything went well. We purchased the tickets online, printed the receipt and presented the receipt upon arrival. |
