We have never seen whales before (except at Sea World) It was very exciting! Six of the "killer whales" swam right toward us and under our boat! So glad we went, very informative and friendly staff, felt safe with all the precautions explained well to us. |

We got to see Mola Mola fish, three different types of jelly fish one of which was the purple striped one, seals, some dolphins, and of course humpback whales. The only thing is I wish that we could have gone farther away from shore. Thank you it was fun! I'll prob go back! |

I had always assumed this activity was way out of my budget. The price was worth the experience! The time of our trip was changed due to rougher weather and they called 24 hour a head of time and offered several choices to reset our trip. I had a great experience with both 'zerve an the Whale Watching Staff. Well worth the money! |

The weather on the day was great, blue sky and 20 degrees, this made the boat ride to the spotting area very pleasant. The captain gave us some interesting info on the way which made the trip go quickly, takes around 40 minutes.
After about an hour of searching we spotted a humpback which was very exciting however we were only able to see the spray initially. We hung around for a while but unfortunately were only able to see brief glimpses of the whale, a good look at the tail was as good as it got. This put a downer on the trip and made the trip back seem a lot longer.
So to summarise, professional company but the lack of whale spotting unfortunately means I can't give a better than average review as that's what it's all about really! |

A worthwhile trip helped by fine weather. The captain and biologist found us a humpback whale, perhaps against the odds (because the krill were put-off by warm water) and we saw something of it, although not as much as I would have liked. The overall experience: sea lions, sea otters, turtle, sunfish plus whale made it a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Excellent commentary by Ron, the marine biologist, who was full of information, but also knew when not to talk - didn't feel the need to fill every moment with noise. Length of trip - just right. I'd recommend paying extra for the upper deck as it really does enhance the experience. |

We enjoyed our trip very much. The humpback whales came right up to the boat! We got spectacular pictures and movies. Dolphins were seen as well. The crew was very attentive as to where to look and directed us the entire trip. They answered any and all questions about the animals.....they were well educated on the whales.
We would highly recommend this trip to all.
Bring warm clothes, the trip out to sea is cold, windy and about an hour duration as is the trip back.
I plan on doing this trip again to see the gray whale migration |

I am a whale enthusiast. I have been for a very long time, and live about three hours away. I have always wanted to go "whale watching" but have never done so. To say this trip was "great" does not do it justice. We saw four humbacks and two blues among other varied marine life. Our captain, Captain Tim, was very generous with his time, and was in communication with other boats on the bay. As soon as something was spotted, he would literally change the direction of the boat and hunt for it. The guide ( I apologize I cannot remember her name )was very, very knowledgeable and funny. My kids had a great time, and I had an experience that I will never forget. We saw in the distance a whale "breeching" and two whales dove deep at the same time exposing their fins, it was almost magical. I would highly reccommend this trip to anyone!

Catherine the naturalist was superb. So knowledgeable about everything (not just whales) and her energy and excitement were contagious. We will go back again but we will make sure we know she is on the boat. Saw a few humpbacks and some great pelagic birds. Thanks for a fun ride. |
