Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

We only saw the one humpback but it was only a few feet fron the boat. it stayed with us for about 20 minutes.

This was a nice cruise to see whales from a distance. They do not get close enough to the boat to get good pictures. There were dolphins swimming right next to us.

Buying the tickets online were very convienent and useful. To me it saved alot of time. I really enjoyed the trip and I had a wonderful time with my son. We will definately use your service again!!

I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING BOAT RIDE I HAVE EVER TAKEN. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME ON A BOAT, SO I WAS NERVOUS! BUT IT WAS AWESOME!! I CAME AS AN EXTRA CREDIT FOR MY BIOLOGY CLASS, SO I AM GLAD I CHOSE THIS AS MY TOPIC!! IT WAS VERY AMAZING...I GOT TO SEE A LOT OF HUMPBACKS AND LOTS OF DOLPHINS!! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TYPE OF TRIP TO ANYONE...AND I WOULDN'T MIND COMING BACK AGAIN, NOW THAT I KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE.... NICE AND AMAZING TRIP!! I JUST LOVED IT! We did enjoy the Cruise. We went the end of July and it was a little cold so be sure to layer. The crew was very friendly and patient. During the cruise we did see a couple of whales, not as close as I was hoping but they are there. We saw a lot of dolphins, and birds I don't remember the names. The sea seems like a very busy place, it's amazing. Also, it's just beautiful to be out on the ocean. We would go back again, no question!

We saw several pods of humpbacks, so we got to see many different individuals. Lots of birds, seals and sea lions as well. No orcas or blue whales. Wife and daughter very sick due to rough seas, but the crew were very helpful and did what they could.

I loved it. It was a great experience. I took my 11 yr.old and 7 yr. old grandsons. The 7 year old had a wonderful, fun time. The 11 yr. old got a little motion sickness and did not enjoy the ride at all. But that's him - he has always had motion sickness problems since he was a child. The person who talked was wonderful in explaining everything to us. She was a very joyful, enthusiastic person. The other help on board were very caring, and attentive to us at all times. It was a great crew to be with. I could do this trip over and over - I enjoyed it so much. I loved it.

The Princess Monterey is comfortable (for a whale watch vessel) and the crew was attentive and helpful. The tour guide was initially a little "over-enthusiastic " but we learned a great deal from her and appreciated her experience and knowledge. About 25 humpback whales were spotted, many quite close to the boat. We even got a good look at a whale's face, eye and barnacles - right next to the bow! The antics of the sea lions were also fun to observe. There were many species of sea birds including an albatross! The weather was perfect but the ocean swells were enough to make some folks seasick. So take your dramamine the night before if you are prone to seasickness and make sure you bring enough warm clothes. It was warm at the dock but very cold out on the ocean. WE LOVE WHALES! we all thoroughlt enjoyed our trip. We were right along side hump back whales watching a mother and baby , and then the baby played around for ages. The dolphins were amazing swimmimg under the boat and able to see 3 different sorts at once - absolutelt fantastic!!
