Our guide was terrific - very knowledgable, funny, and enthusiastic. We went in January so it was quite cold and swells were enormous (think roller coaster). Recommend taking dramamine and dressing very warmly before going given conditions. We sighted seals, Dahl's dolphins, otters, but unfortunately no whales. It was disappointing. After an hour and a half our entire group was ready to head back to shore. The crew was very friendly, the cabin warm, and snacks were there for those who got hungry. Would do it again in hopes of sighting whales. |

Seeing Orchas in their natural habitat is a totally different experience. It is so exciting to know that there are so many different species that you can observe is Monterey Bay itself. Dolphins, whales (different types), sea otters, sea lions, birds of many species.....the list goes on.
The folks at Princess makes the experience an enjoyable and safe one for all its passengers. I have been using them for at least 4 trips and all of them have been great. |

a wonderful experience. not only saw the whales but had the opportunity to watch one breach. Our grandson was totally enthralled and at the age of 16 today it takes something impressive to make them show emotions. Worth the ride, worth the money, worth doing again and we will!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The boat and crew were very good. The experience of seeing so many whales and dolphins was wonderful. Actually, I was most impressed with seeing the very large school or more than 100 northern right whale dolphins leaping out of the water in unison.
One serious note. My wife and I both believe that you and the boat captain should insist that people plan on taking some kind of anti-motion sickness pills unless they know they do not get sea sick. The swells were large and the boat both rolled and rocked.
I got sick but avoided heaving, but many others got sick over the side of the boat, which the crew cleaned up immediately and thoroughly. Just straight forward info on the likelihood of getting sick would help lots of folks.
I will go again probably on the same boat, but I will be taking Bonine, which my wife took and did not get sick at all. |

It was a miserable day to be going out. The crew was very helpful and insightful. They had great advice on sea sickness. They were right on. They provided lots of information on the area and the sea life. Very friendly and best of all we saw 3 gray whales for a long stip of the trip. Just what we went for. Highly recommend the top deck. Gray whales stay close to the surface, but up top you could visibly see them rise and arch back into the water. BEAUTIFUL! |

This was my first whale watching tour. I was very impressed by the knowledge of the marine biologist who gave us so many amazing facts. She answered all of our questions and was so pleasant and enthusiastic!
I will definitely tell everyone about it and we will be returning as often as we can!
The price was very reasonable and the ride was very comfortable. |

A humpback pup breached! Flukes! Vocalization! Upclose encounters! At one point we were stopped in the water to observe and we watched one humpback swimming straight at the boat to investigate us. I got an excellent picture of the blowholes! And our Marine Biologist was such a kick! Informative with personality plus! So much fun! The crew and shore staff were helpful and friencly. Excellent. The total experience is well worth it.
PS: Morning gives a calmer ride. Please, please, please! If you might be motion sensitive (can't read a book in the car), take preventitive measures. I recommend and use Seabands. They are a nice alternative to popping a pill that makes you drowzy and can be purchased at any drug store. You will enjoy the ride so much more and so will those around you. |

Dogs should not be allowed on board unless the other customers have notice of this. Some people are allergic to dogs, some people don't like dogs, some people/children are very afraid of dogs. This was very inconsiderate of you to allow a dog on board at the last moment! |
