I have actually gone whale watching with this organization several times in the past and I think that the trip is well worth the $37 cost. I have been on other whale watching tours that were much pricier and not necessarily better. On this particular cruise, the weather was somewhat uncooperative and foggy, with rough seas (part of the thrill!) but the captain changed course until we found clearer skies and a pod of whales.
There was plenty of room on the boat, it was clean and well kept. One thing I would like to advise people, however, is that kids don't always enjoy this, there is a lot of time spent looking FOR the whales and a fairly short time actually watching them; so there were lots of bored and whiny kids on board. Also, the naturalist on board talked waaay too much, she would have been better had she provided information as needed and, well, talked a lot less.
Otherwise, if you are interested in whale watching and sea life, I highly reccommend this trip. |

My husband and I have been on whale-watching though this company and had a great time which brought us back to Monterey this past weekend. We looked forward to it all week and then the morning of the trip as we made our way from the SF bay area to Monterey, I got a migraine headache which made me sick and had to retreat to our hotel room for the day to sleep. We did make it to the pier later in the day and we already knew that the tickets were non-refundable so hopefully someday soon, we will make another trip to see the whales. |

We had a wonderful time whale watching. The crew and staff were friendly and informed, the boat was clean and nice, and the marine biologist that was on the cruise was great!! We are looking forward to our next trip to Monterey and another cruise with Princess Monterey Whale Watching. We Highly recommend them!!!! |

Only saw one for a very short time. It was far away and barely broke the surface. |

My husband and I had a great time on the boat. They were great about turning the boat so that every passenger had the opportunity to see the whales. They were also great about telling everyone about the whales and other sealife that was out there. A great trip for anyone. |

The biologist was quite knowlegeable, the staff was nice, and we had a very good time. My husband becamje a bit seasick due to the large swells, but the rest of us had a very nice trip. I'd recommend it for families and singles. |

Crew was very friendly and accomodating. We saw several whales, and some dolphins. We had an afternoon tour booked but was called and told that the weather forcast showed that the winds were going to be higher in the afternoon and that we would probably be able to enjoy the morning cruise more - we adjusted our schedule with their recommendation and had a great time. |

I had a wonderful time, but most of the other passengers got sick. Suggest that when the water is choppy you not go out. I noticed that very few people left a tip. My husband & I feel that those who had a bad experience will never try it again. |

We were fortunate enough to see a female hump-back whale with her calf and that alone made the trip very worthwhile. The information provided to us by the board-guide was both interesting and very well presented.
We thought the wait till we finally got going a bit long and we were well advised to take warm clothing with us as it was bitterly cold and windy.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending your crusie but you do have to bear in mind that if you're not lucky, then all you're getting is a 2 1/2 hour trip round the bay. |
