Our tour guide was funny, friendly and passionate about wildlife. She did a wonderful job entertaining and educating us while we started out towards our destination. Once we reached the "whale sighting areas", we caught several glimpses of humpback whales in the distance which was absolutely breathtaking! Then, just before our tour had to head back towards land, two humpbacks splashed in the water only about 25 or so feet from our boat! It was a trip I'll never forget. |

The day we went, it was bright and sunny and we ended up in this place where there were at least 20 whales. One of them was as close as 30 feet. The tour guide was quite enthusiastic as well. Overall, me and my husband had a wonderful time and would go again!! |

We had a wonderful time and saw a pod of 8-10 whales. The crew was excellent and knowledgeable. My 15-year old son wasn't enthusiastic about going on this adventure with me, but once we boarded the boat, his attitude changed and he became intensely interested in learning more about whales. As a bonus, we got to see an otter diving and bringing up his lunch. All in all, a very pleasant and interesting few hours on the waters of Monerey Bay. |

The boat was very clean and comfortable. We did not move around to much to view other areas where there were more whales but it was a great trip and we did see alot of them. |

We loved our whale watching trip with Princess Monterey Whale Watching tours. The biologist on board (Katherine) was very knowledgeable and told us interesting information and we were thrilled to see about 20 humpback whales. The boat was comfortable and it was a very enjoyable afternoon. We went on the 1:30 cruise. Take a jacket - it was very chilly on the water even though it was quite warm onshore. I would highly recommend this company. |

The weather was perfect the morning we set out on our whale watching tour. The water was calm and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The naturalist on board was pretty young, but quite knowledegable. Bring a jacket out on the open water... the temperatures drop pretty quickly once the boat gets moving. Our tour was really lucky with spotting the whales. Lucky for us, the whales were really curious when we approached and came right up to our boat and did a little show for us.
The pair of humpback whales played near the boat for about forty five minutes. I got some fantastic pictures. A couple of times they went beneath the boat and you could spot their shadowy silhouettes from the surface. After that experience, everything else seemed somewhat disappointing... seeing whales spout in the distance just doesn't inspire as much awe as seeing these beautiful creatures up close.
Overall, a great experience. |

We really had a great time. The Central Coast weather can be rather chilly this time of year but not the day we went out. The weather was 70s and sunny and did we see the whales. Our guide counted about 15-17 pairs in the area and we were seeing them in every direction. At times it would have been nice to get closer but that is a given. I highly recommend the Princess and her crew, they were great as was the scenery. |

The boat ride was nice! I was not impressed with the trip. The whales were in the distance. The other boats in the water were closer to the whales than we were, so therefore that was a disappointment. |

The ride alone was worth it! |

We took our trip on a breezy morning so the water was a bit choppy, but that made it fun! We had a few sightings of whales and got to see otters and sea lions up close. No close whale encounters that day, though we did see several blows and almost their flukes while they fed. It was definitely an experience with the just the sail alone, and the sea life we encountered was an added bonus to the trip. I will definitely be going back again and during different seasons to view a variety of aquatic life. |
