My friends and I had a wonderful experience on our whale watching adventure. Not only did we see a humpback whale, but also a group of dolphins, numerous sea lions, lots of jelly fish, and many different types of birds. It was also just the right amount of time to be out on the ocean on a boat for us. The captain, guide, and crew were very friendly and helpful. Our highlight of the trip had to be when the captain yelled "There she blows!" to alert us of the approaching humpback whale. |

Superb experience, lots of wildlife seen, excellent commentary from an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. I would recommend this to anyone.
But watch out for that reflected UV - I got seriously sunburned on a fairly grey day! |

I would wait for this boat any time |

What a great morning we had - sighted a humpback whale which was awesome, but only one which was disappointing! The staff were all helpful and polite, and the marine biologist on board was amazing. She was witty, informed and SO enthusiastic about her work that it rubbed off on us. All in all, a trip I would be prepared to do again the next time I travel from the U.K.
Thank you, I loved it!! |

didn't get as close to the whales as I had hoped |

The naturalist on board was extremely enthusiastic, she was very knowledgable and you could tell she loved her job.
We only saw one whale/calf pair. I may have had unrealistic expectations.
Also saw a rare basking shark and puffin. The trip back to the wharf was a nice way to see the coastline. |

It was fun but the boat ride was too long |

We saw three whales but they were too far away from the boat. I expected to see them up close. I guess its because 'the Princess' is a big boat, so she cannot get too close to the whales... We actually saw some smaller boats follow the whales and go really close. I bet they got saw great pictures!!

Excellent, providing you have good sea legs as the journey out to where the whales are can be a bit choppy at times.
Seeing the whales is fantastic and a sight not to be missed. The marine biologist that accompanies you is so knowledgable and enthusiastic. We saw lots of other things as well such as pelicans, sea otters etc. |

I thought we would have been up closer to the whales or got to see more. We spent alot of time heading out and heading back but only spent about 15 minutes at the actual whale sighting spot. We were not very close to them at all. And we only saw them for a couple min at a time. We only saw one dolphin. I thought we would have saw alot more wildlife than we did. I was kinda disappointed. The marine biologist was a great tour guide |
