| The four of us took the whale watching boat trip on August 10, 2007 at 1:30pm. The weather was overcast but that is perfect weather for whale watching as glare from the sun off the water was not present. The waters in the Monterrey Bay area had waves of up to 3 feet (1 meter) so the journey was almost exciting as the whale watching. The weather was cool and breezy but not harsh. There was no rain. The person providing the details on the whales was perfect for the job. She knows her business and it helped in our efforts to view the whales (yes, more than one whale). I successfully got a picture of the whale's tail and one picture of a whale (male, I think) moving along on the surface.
There were numerous spouts of water as the whales came to the surface after a long dive. The help of the captains of the other two whale watching boats helped our captain to locate and carefully approach the area where the whales were located. The woman giving the commentary also provided interesting information on the harbor seals and the jelly fish and the large sea lions as we came across them. She also pointed out that turtles come every year to feast on the jelly fish. The trip lasted about an hour and a half and was excellent the whole time. There is much to learn (such as telling the whales apart by their tails) and the return to the dock was much appreciated. |

| My family(kids 8&11) went on 8/10/07and I would highly reccomend this tour. We saw 2 humpback whales we watched for about an hour along with lots of sea lions and some seals. The crew was very attentive as some passengers were sea sick and the guide was very informative and enthusiastic. My family took some motion sickness medication about an hour before the trip (dramamine type) and none of us got sick but Ill bet at least half the passengers were vomiting. |

| A superb experience. Good value for money. Enthusiastic commentary provided by the tour guide.
We loved seeing the humpback whales, sea otters, porpoises - even the jelly fish were good!
Two of the boat load ended up losing breakfast over the stern - so take precautions if you are susceptible - you can buy tablets form the office on arrival. Binoculars can be rented too - $5.00
I would unreservedly recommend this tour.

| The whale watching was fantastic both from an organisational and whale spotting position. When we arrived our booking was confirmed, the staff were very enthusiastic, especially the lady that spoke knowledgably about the whales throughout the trip. Absolutley recommend it. |

| The boat was large with plenty of room inside and out. The staff in the boarding area and on the ship was very courteous and the marine expert that accompanied the trip was very friendly with lots of good information. We saw only one juvenile humpback whale that we stopped to watch for a full half hour, but there obviously isn't much control over how many whales will be seen. We also saw a couple dolphins and a few sea lions. I would definately go on this trip again, especially during a season when gray or blue whales could potentially be seen. |

| Great way to feel the energy of Monterey bay and it's Wildlife. Felt more connected to the needs of habitat for the sealife. Made me more concious of the big picture. It is one thing to see the marine life on TV quite another to experience it in real life. It was very exciting to anticipate and then see the whales and other sealife. |

| The boat ride is nice but sea-sick medicine is a must. There were adults and children getting sick overboard saying, "But I don't get sea sick." So my advice is; if you are paying good money for this good time, just take the medicine (ahead of time!!!) and DON'T take the chance of spoiling your trip. There was such a large group of people on the boat that immediately you know you are not going to get those great pictures that you came there to get, which for me, is completely frustrating. When the lady yells, "whale!", everyone moves to that side of the boat, but it's a huge amount of people and you are trying to stick your camera in between. You were lucky if you weren't just too far back to even see the whale. Also, you have to understand that although you paid the price, you may see very little or nothing. It was okay for me as I have a camera with a huge lense but you're better off not expecting much and just enjoying the boat trip. We did see dolphins from a good distance and two whales from a real good distance. |

| My friends and I had a wonderful experience on our whale watching adventure. Not only did we see a humpback whale, but also a group of dolphins, numerous sea lions, lots of jelly fish, and many different types of birds. It was also just the right amount of time to be out on the ocean on a boat for us. The captain, guide, and crew were very friendly and helpful. Our highlight of the trip had to be when the captain yelled "There she blows!" to alert us of the approaching humpback whale. |
