Our guide was incredible, very knowledgable and friendly. Because of the pictures on the website I was expecting to be closer and see more whales than we did. Overall, it was a very good experience. You should probably sell the motion sickness meds ON the boat too for people who are not expecting to be affected. There were alot of people that were getting sick. Very friendly staff on deck as well. I would recommend this to a friend.

It was a windy day so the cruise out was bumpy. Keep your eye on the horizon line and you'll avoid the queasiness. plus the bumps were worth it. Whales! The cruise in was smooth sailing with the headwinds then in our favor. Definitely use this provider. The boat is the biggest. Paying for the upper deck was great. A must!

We saw Whales! Humpbacks feeding in the Bay just off of the boat! The crew was very kind, consideerate, and very knowledgable. They knew alot about the whales, bay, ecology. I hope that I can do this trip again. It was the best birthday present ever! the birthday hat that they gave me was VERY appreciated! I will book this again and recommend it to my friends! Thankyou Princess Monterey whale Watching! I had a really great time!

Not what I expected!

We went out and drove very fast and the waves were really bad, we didn't see any whales and only a few dolphins! Most of the time you have is spent traveling to them on a crazy boat ride! Several people got sick because of waves and how fast we were going! Once to location of whales, we had about 10 minutes to see something which was why I gave it a low rating and wouldn't recommend! If there were whales I would want longer to see them!

Good: The boat is big and can take the large waves well. The staff we interacted with on the boat were nice and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of dolphins. They sell sunscreen, sea sick meds, and other things at their check-in building, which is really nice and convenient. Bad: They cancelled our afternoon tour due to wind, so we went on a morning tour instead. But the wind was still blowing hard so the waves were massive, which made it a rocky ride, and I saw more people barfing than I did wildlife. My boyfriend and I are not prone to sea sickness so we were fine, but we felt bad for all the sick people. The first hour or so was fun (for us) riding the waves, but after three hours of seeing nothing but green faces and vomit, we were kind of over it. Especially because we didn't see one whale. I know they can't guarantee sightings, but I think a voucher to come back would have been nice, but they said no because we saw the dolphins. :\ But I think considering the weather and the fact they had to reschedule our whole day, they could have made an exception. Overall it was fine, but it's always disappointing when you don't get out of it what you hoped to.

We went on April with this company to try to see whales. Just close to the coast we saw some dolphins, but after that we spend 2 hours literally jumping in the boat and no seeing absolutelly anything. The day was super windy, so the waves were huge and the boat was super fast, so we were all the time holding something to try to don't fall. A lot of people got sick, we both too, even after taking pills for sea sickness. The didn't give us our money back, just a free ticket for the same day but in the afternoon, as you can understand we didn't do it! I don't recomend this company at all. Sorry.

Princess Whale Cruise

The staff on the Princess Cruise was very professional and enthusiastic. They took us to a great location and my family and I were able to see humpbacks and grey whales. I wish our view was closer but I understand they had to follow safety regulations. The tour itself was fine but a few people on board spoiled the experience. Unfortunately a family (group) of people thought it was amusing that a large number on board were sea sick. Their insensitivity was appalling and downright rude! The crew tried their best to help everyone. I recommend taking Dramamine an hour before boarding and possibly have some ginger candies (or gum) on hand to ease any possible symptoms. Dress warm, too.
