The trip was very enjoyable, we booked online on the morning of the trip. The staff were all friendly and approachable appearing eager to give a good service. The boat was comfortable and not overcrowded. The commentary was clear and informative. It is not necessary to upgrade to the top deck we had a great view from the front of the boat and you can move around easily, although it was not hard sell to buy the upgrade. We saw lots of whales in 2 different groups and were given plenty of information about the habits and habitats of the local wildlife.

Whales were everywhere. We found a place where they were feeding and spent a lot of time watching this activity. The naturalist seemed well informed and interested in the activity. It was a great experience.

What we saw for 100.00 was four to six hump back whales at fifty yards away and a lot of sick passengers. will never take their tour again!

Whales and seals

First trip was shrouded in mist with little to see. 2 days later in blue sky's there were many many humpbacks, with some breaching. Often feeding in groups with seals and porpoise joining in the frenzy. I have been whale watching all over the world and Monterey still has the potential to produce excitement, which this day did also. The large boat size limits this a bit

They gave us a tremendous amount of great information about whales. They knew where to look for them. We saw close to a dozen whales. The guy selling tickets could bone up on effective ways to respond to customers who balk at the extra $20 to sit up top on the boat.

Bring binoculars to see well. We booked on Princess ship but went out on different one which requires extra $20. pp to sit on top deck. Naturalist very informative.

Nice trip for whale watching.

It was a nice trip but my opinion is that the guide on the boat was over enthousiastic. It was a little too much and some reactions almost made me have a heartattack..... She was shouting thru the microphone: tail fin, tail fin. At a certain moment it became annoying.

it was good.

the speaker volume was too high; the number of whales observed by the biologist seemed to get larger the closer we go to the end of the tour...numbers seemed over estimated. Overall, for a first tour for us, it was enjoyable. Most likely will do this again with this company.
