It was due to the weather & two humpback whales coming into the bay that we didn,t venture further out & see more.

The boat was nice and we saw many Humpback whales without leaving the bay. The naturalist provided interesting and useful information. The whales were difficult to photograph but we enjoyed watching them.

We went on our whale watching adventure in early September. The morning was a bit gray and chilly as we motored out to find the whales. We were not disappointed when the Captain spotted two humpbacks coming up for air about a half hour into our journey. Eventually we were delighted when the two surfaced just 50 feet or so off the starboard bow. It was great to see them up close. As we motored back, after spending about an hour waiting for and watching them, the clouds broke, and blue skies were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and safety conscious. The boat was clean and well maintained. I felt safe. A little cold, but safe. Bring a sweatshirt!

Excellent staff, vessel, and experience. Only issue we had was an extremely choppy surf causing some up-chucking amongst the guests but you can hardly blame anyone for that. There were plenty of vomit bags on board so no biggie! Anyway, lots of fun and quite awesome seeing humpbacks and dolphins (and seals, otters, s ea birds and even jellies) going about their business in a natural environment can't be beat. And the naturalist they had on board gave really exceptional information throughout the trip as well.

10am cruise

We went on the 10am cruise. Boat not too crowded so easy to move around deck. Sea was a little rough in places. Saw Risso dolphins but no whales, which was disappointing. If we go again we'll probably go in the evening when they are possibly more likely to be feeding (?)

Good but no whales and weather took a toll on sea sickness. Owner is great and we thank you!

We had a great time, and really enjoyed the trip. We only saw a couple whales, but did see a huge pod of dolphins! The information given and the comfort of the ship really made it quite enjoyable!

Whales do what they want and show when they want. Therefore, it is a gamble and we won be seeing two whales!! Thank you!

I think Princess Cruise did a good job, they were on time, the crew was friendly, and the price was reasonable. The ship is clean and in good repair, but the inside seating cannot be called "comfortable". It is unfortunate that only one of their boats offer the best views from an upper deck, for an additional $20! We did not get that boat. We were fortunate that there was a pod of 6 humpback whales hanging out, and we got to see 3 of them breach fully out of the water (my first time experiencing this!) so that was great. The whales mostly kept their distance, and I was happy that the captain did not try to move in closer and harass or disturb them. The duration of the cruise was sufficient that I was ready to get back to port once they did turn around. The on-board naturalist was knowledgeable and kept up a running dialog about what we were seeing and some of the history of the area, though it was not always easy to hear her. Since the weather on the water was foggy and chilly, it is good to dress in layers including a good windbreaker and perhaps gloves, or else you are going to be cold. Almost everyone came into the cabin on the way back, so it was quite crowded. Overall, my girl and I had a very good time (it was her first whale-watching trip), and I'd do it again.

We had a great time over the Labor Day Weekend. We saw five humpback whales and the whales absolutely made the trip. The ones who didn't get sea sick - LOVED IT! For those unfortunate, and queasy ones on our trip the staff was kind and helpfully.
