I had researched several whale watching tours and the princess tour seemed to have the most positive feedback. I was so happy that we chose this tour, the crew is so informative and friendly. The boat itself is clean and when I looked down on another tour that I had thought about and saw how small the other boat was, I was glad I had chosen wisely. We were very lucky to see alot of humpback whales, which made the trip exciting. The naturalist was informative and helpful in pointing out where we could look. The ONLY thing negative, which unfortunately is a big negative is that in boarding and disembarking, there is about a foot gap between the boat and the ramp to get on or off the boat. Getting on wasn't too bad as you could grab the railing and pull yourself up over the empty space between the boat and ramp, but getting off was a little tricky. No crew members were present to assist people and I did feel that was very unsafe. I felt they should be there to help people off and on the boat to ensure no one has a problem. that gap was large enough for someone to fall through into the water if they made a misstep. Other than that, this trip is so worth it.

Our guide on the trip was really knowledgeable and super enthusiastic, we saw plenty of humpbacks on our trip and it was amazing. My wife got quite cold but one of the crew lent her a windproof jacket which was really appreciated. Definitely bring some warm clothing no matter how hot it is on the shore!

A worthwhile experience. Boat was clean and staff attentive. On board guide was informative. Saw numerous whales and dolphins and trip length was just right. No matter the temperature in the harbor, bring a sweatshirt and long pants.

We had low expectations of seeing any whales or dolphins going into the ride. Once we were out about 20 minutes, we saw some humpback whales and the activity picked up from there! Soon, sea lions were swimming out to where the whales were to all feed on whatever was delicious in the area. It was amazing how many whales there were...over 30! And the sea lions were so cute - some more playful and sunbathing on their backs, waving as they went by our boat (we obviously had to stop due to how close the animals were coming to us.) It was a great experience, great views, and I'd do it again next time I'm in the area.

Wow! This was my first trip out to sea. My husband has worked on a fishing vessel before, so he knew what to expect, I didn't. Loved it, every minute of it!!! :O) Thanks Jeff for the PERSONAL touch and remembering our names: Mike and Lauri from Camp Verde. You were all great, and it was so worth it. Our entire vacation was so very memorable.......... thanks again Captain Duke for your incredible skills at the wheel.
