Fantastic morning watching the magnificent whales
Fri, Jun 14, 13   10:00 AM whoyle Unspecified Unspecified International Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our guide was so full of energy and enthusiasm, it was as if she could will the whales to come out just for us. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole morning fun and entertaining. We saw a spectacular Blue whale and a few hump back whales. It was an awesome sight to see them in the wild doing what they do all naturally! An unforgettable experience a must in Monterrey! The Ocean was a little lumpy and a few of the passengers were a little seasick! Luckily they followed our guides advice and heave hoe'd over the back of the boat - fish food! thanks for the memories! An unforgetable experience

We had an encounter with a female Humpback whale and her calf. They approached the boat and swam alongside of us for almost an hour, occasionally coming within 10 to 15 yards from the side of the boat. The naturalist on board was extraordinarily informative. Just a great experience.

Princess Monterey is the Best

My wife and I have been going whale watching with this company since the 80's. We have tried other companies, but Princess Monterey is, to me, the best. We have seen so many amazing sights on their cruises: blue whales, fin whales, humpbacks right next to the boat and breaching, gray whales, Risso's dolphins, schools of hundreds of dolphins, rare sea birds, and more. The crews on the boat are top-notch. The naturalist is informative and entertaining. Princess Monterey also has the largest boats on the bay, so you are guaranteed a comfortable ride. Most importantly, this company respects the marine life. They obey all the rules, don't chase whales or come closer than what is legal. Perhaps that is why the whales come to them sometimes. If you want to have the best whale-watching experience, go with Princess Monterey. They are truly the best.

The whole family loved the experience. Unfortunately we couldn't see all types of mammals but that's how nature works!!!

We had a great time. The "tour guide" was enthusiastic and humorous. We followed two hump back whales and they came up right next to the boat. We had whale poop and snot to enjoy.

It was great!!!!

We took at 10am tour and our captain and crew were really wonderful - they know where to find the whales - and we saw a Mother and her calf, and a couple other bit hump back whales, along with dolphins of course. The narration was very informative and interesting. We both took extra precautions against sea sickness and I'm so glad we did - I wore sea bands, used some essential oils for "vertigo" behind the ears, chewed ginger gum and took an allergy tablet and all of that combined worked wonderfully for a great boat ride (I've had sea sickness issues in the past). There were maybe 4-5 people that got seasick and they were sooooo green and miserable and once you're out there, it's a 2.5-3 hour ride - which could be absolutely awful if your sick - so make sure to take some precautions unless you know you're fine out on a boat in the ocean. I highly recommend Princess Tours - it was one of the highlights to our visit to Monterey and Carmel.

We were on a long road trip where the highlight was Yosemite and Sequoia when we decided we needed to see the ocean. We were quite close, after all. Just seeing the ocean wasn't enough so we added in whale watching. Princess Monterey was a great choice. We went on a Tuesday so the boat was not full. The staff was great with information and repeatedly checked in on the passengers that looked green. We got to see multiple dolphins, some swimming along side the boat and about 4 different humpback whales, one with a baby. There were no jumping whales but we did see tale slaps and lots of surfacing. Everyone in our group would definitely recommend this tour - it was a decent length (2.5-3 hrs) especially for anyone worried about getting seasick. I was feeling the waves more than I would have liked and would have definitely lots my breakfast on a 5 hour trip!

The best birthday in 81 years!

My 81 year old Mom and I went on the cruise as part of her birthday celebration. At first I was worried we may be disappointed - in the first hour, all we had seen were some Risso dolphins but then the captain spotted a Humpback whale and some white side dolphins. And soon after that came a fabulous sighting of a whole group of killer whales/Orca's! They really put on a show for us! My Mom was thrilled!! Thanks to Micah and the entire crew who were informative and friendly!

Another great trip, We go on this trip several times a year and as always we had a great time. The bonus was the Blue whale we were able to see. Sad that they are going extinct. Did like the remodel of the office very nice. Looking forward to our next trip. Ken and Keeley Schroeder Clovis, Ca.
