Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

This was my first experience whale watching and I didn't know if I'd actually see any whales. I couldn't have picked a better day because we ended up following a family of female orcas and a humpback whale. I took my 8 year old nephew who also loved the tour. The marine biologist on board was engaging and funny. Well worth the price for a 3 hour excursion.

The trip went off really well, we had a great day for it and saw some great wildlife. Saw four humpbacks on our trip and these came very close to the boat at times.

We picked a great day to go out. There was no seasickness and not a lot of crowds. Our marine biologist knew a lot. The boat was nice and clean and the Crew was very helpful. We saw 2 groups of whales that day. I would definitely do it again.

Perfect outing on the PrIncess on Sunday afternoon. Large number of humpbacks, friendly staff and an excellent naturalist on board to answer questions. We were so happy with our choice for whale watching. we actually had a parking problem- called the dock and they gave us great directions. We arrived right on time and have a fantastic trip.

We enjoyed our trip greatly and would go again. Everybody told us how cold it would be and it wasn't that cold but was VERY windy. We saw several whales. At times there were 2 whales together which was a awesome view. I have a great video of our trip. My mom loved her Mother's Day weekend!

The naturalist on board was very helpful and provided good information about whales.

My 84 year old mother has always wanted to go whale watching so for Mother's Day I set it up this year. We had a ball!!! Saw some humpbacks and dolphins which pleased us to no end. Needless to say, my mom's Mother's Day was made!!! We enjoyed the boat and staff and found them very informative!! Would do it again in a hot minute!

We had a great time - there were sooooo many whales! I took lots of photos. Unfortunately it was dark and cloudy so they aren't perfect photographically, but I got a couple of fun sequences of the whales diving so if you watch them quickly it's a bit like a moving picture

Whale watching in the middle of the ocean is fun experience..we did see several whales. The pictures uploaded by several vendors are the best of best..if you get to see that then its worth the price... I will call this a bit overpriced. They should improve their signs as finding this place and parking nearby is not easy.

The guide for the tour was very enthusiastic and informative. We were lucky enough to see Humpbacks and Risso's dolphins. All of the members of the staff were very helpful and friendly as well as the Zerve person who handled my reservations.

My husband and I took a Monday morning trip in early May. The day was sunny but cool and since it's always colder on the water, we had to dress warmly in layers. The one thing we wished we had added was gloves as your hands get very cold hanging on to the railing. My leather jacket kept me toasty otherwise. The trip was everything it advertised and more. The tour guide, a marine biologist named Kathrine, seemed at first to us conservative Canadians to be over-the-top perky but her enthusiasm was contagious and her knowledge vast and interestingly communicated. I gather from what she said that we were very fortunate to have such a robust sighting of whales and dolphins. I was amazed at how close we actually got to the animals while still respecting their space. I was also impressed that the captain and crew slowed down a couple of times to retrieve balloons that were floating in the bay. A memorable experience which I would highly recommend! Great value.
