A delightful experience
Sun, Nov 29, 09   1:30 PM lindamcc Female 50-59 Local Group of Friends
I really enjoyed the excursion. Everyone, from the people in the office to the crew on the boat were very helpful and friendly, and made the trip fun. The naturalist, Katherine, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and made the trip very interesting. On the way back into the harbor, she spent quite a bit of time with my friend and I, answering a bunch of questions for us and really making the time enjoyable. I would sail with her anytime! The crew chose to look for orcas, which was fantastic since I didn't know orcas visited Monterey Bay, and we found them! What an awesome trip. Thanks.

We enjoyed our trip on the Princess out of Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. The boat was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw sea lions, dolphins and whales! The narration and information about the whales was interesting and added so much to the whole scene and experience! Thank you so much!! Ron and Linda Haven

Bad business
Fri, Oct 12, 07   1:30 PM LindaGriffin Female 50-59 Local Group of Friends
The ship and facilities were fine. The choice to take people out when the weather was as bad as it was was irresponsible. Everyone in my party and many others were sick. The boat was rocking so hard that I fell down and my friend feel twice. Each time because we were trying to get to the back of the boat to throw up. Only after falling down did they realize they had to stop the boat for us to move. We should have taken our cue from the other tour groups that had closed down. That was dangerous and I can speak well of a group that would that that kind of change with peoples lives. Linda Griffin

A joy to spend 3 hours on the boat in the Monterey Bay. The bonus of the whales, jelly fish, sea otters, and birds topped it off.

The naturalist was extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic. We saw three blue whales, a pair of humpback whales, a tufted puffin, two black-footed albatross and the wonderful sea lions and harbor seals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the Princess Monterey for our first time to see the spouting whales - what an exciting experience - couldn't believe how quickly the time had passed. Looking forward to a return trip next year.

We really enjoyed the excursion

The whale watching excursion was very enjoyable. The crew and owner was very accomodating. The young lady who narrated the trip was very enthusiastic and interesting to listen to. She made the trip fun.I would recommend it highly. Small children might find it a bit boring if there isn't a lot going on.

An Incredible Encounter with Nature
Sun, Jun 26, 11   9:00 AM Linavis Female Under 20 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
The whale watching cruise offered spectacular glimpses of wild animals; the whales came so close to the boat that we could truely marvel at their grandeur. However, the ocean was very rough and seasickness put a damper on the incredible sights. Overall an amazing experience we will never forget!

WONDERFUL! (But Add .50 To Ticket For Ginger)
Tue, Mar 27, 12   10:00 AM LilMaryMermd Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
I loved the experience. This was our first time on a boat. We were scared but the crew on the ship made us feel confident and they calmed our nerves. They let us know that we would be okay and just in case we got motion sickness, there was "Ginger" hard candy, inside that would help. So we were enjoying our trip when my friend began to get sick. She asked if I would go and get some ginger. I took off as fast as I could for the Ginger. I was so shocked when I was told that this candy was $3.00. My friend was too sick for me to make a fuss, or even turn around and leave the few pieces of hard candy there. So overall, the trip was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! Just be sure to take your own Ginger hard candy. I would do it again with this boat because THE CREW WAS FANTASTIC!!! PS. Just add a .50 charge to the ticket and give the candy for free to the sick who need it. (It's just a suggestion.)

Good Trip

Very informative and friendly biologist on the trip. Great to see Orca's, just a pity the day we took the trip it was a bit rough. Remember to take something to prevent motion sickness whether you are prone to it or not. We had quite a few onboard that saw nothing. Definitely worthwhile to spend the extra and get upstairs.

We went out to choppy waters with heavy fog setting in , 80% of the people got seasick and there was not even 1 single dolphin to be seen.

It was easy to check in and the boat was very clean. The guide was very helpful with her instructions. (Like go to the back of the boat if you are feeling sick. =)) Everyone on the boat was very nice. I was so amazed to see so many whales. It was well worth the trip and would recommend it to anyone who loves nature. You do need a bit of a strong stomach. It isn't exactly smooth waters, but worth it.
