Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

The boat only had to go out 3 miles before we started seeing whales. The Humpbacks were many and active. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. Smooth ride with lots of whales.

We saw several whales and sea otters. The tour guide was very good at telling us about the wildlife. Great tour!

Pay attention to commercial rules: the owner sell different ticket for the upper deck (20 usd more than standard price); the limitation it's not reported on ecom site. A suggestion: remember to have a checl-in at internal desk before to queue to board (to avood triple queue). A positive remark: the boats are larger than other companies proprosing the same tour: that's good if the sea is not completely calm No whales on our trip: only dolphins and some air breates.

3 hours in the boat, cold weather ando no whales at all

Enjoyed the trip. Naturalist was very informative. No mention of upgrade to be on top deck on the website. We were solicited for upgrade of $20 ea to go on top deck when we arrived. Wasn't necessary and didn't like being misled on the website. Take your own food and drink and don't upgrade.

I enjoyed this trip for three reasons: First, the onboard naturalist did a great job talking about the local history, geography and efforts to protect Monterey Bay, in addition to identifying jelly fish, birds, fish, and of course, the whales. When it looked as if we would not see humpbacks, the captain took us out farther than usual, and we were rewarded with several sightings of blue whales. Finally, with this company, you feel very safe. The boats are well-maintained and the crew is very professional. I will definitely take a whale-watching trip with them again in the future.

We actually saw whales! Unfortunately I was motion sick, even though I took dramamine. But the trip was awesome. They want you to see whales and do everything in their power to get you the best views. Good size boat. Try to sit in the front-outside, or second choice, an outside-side seat. The inside of the boat was stuffy.

This was an enjoyable adventure. The employee's made it easy to check in and you could tell safety was #1. The crew on the boat were helpful and informative. Seeing Killer whales in Monterey Bay was a real treat.

The weather was cold, but it was a great activity! The kids (ages 8 and 9) really enjoyed seeing the whales and dolphins!

The wheals were far away, we only saw one type of them. We don't see dolphins or any other mammal. And we only see little pas of three wheals. I hoped more

One of the reasons that this trip was so successful was that we did our homework: all the adults in our party took Bonine a hour before boarding, so that we could avoid any possible distraction of nausea during the trip. As a result, we were very comfortable with the movements of the boat and could concentrate our attention on the wildlife we were there to enjoy, and on the descriptions and information given on board by the guide. There were passengers who clearly were sick during the trip -- a handful I'd say -- and we were impressed by the staff's quite constant checking on everyone throughout the time on board, and how warmly and effectively they interacted with those who were having difficulties. I do think it would be good to be VERY clear with prospective passengers that they should take something an hour before boarding, just in case. And finally, the length of the trip seemed perfect to me . . .

The crew was very informative and energetic. They put extra effort in to making the experience fun as well as enabling all passengers to view whales and dolphins. Will definitely do it again!

Very nice and comfortable boat (and big!!! which was importatnt for me, as I am not a brave sailor at all), helpful and friendly crew. We all liked it very much, our 6 year old son especially! Definitely would recommend it to my friends.

We found two humpbackwhales. One of them near the boat. We had to go far to see them, but would not have missed this!
