Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

Great whale-watching experience from 100-500 feet away, informative guide with lots of interesting commentary, boat was comfortable and seemed very well run, organized and friendly staff, all in all a great experience and well worth the money.

I felt very secure with the Princess Montery and the crew. I think I had a misconception of what I might encounter... Thinking whales would be quite close and numerous. Thanks to the knowledge and determination of the captan we did encounter a mother Humpback and its's calf (perfect on Mother's Day) . Mother Nature is hard to predict... And I believe this crew will give it their best to make the clients trip memorable!

I would like to get my money back!

These guys were so awesome-- a great experience-- very friendly from the dock to the boat. The crew was so informative and pleasant. I would recommend this group to anyone. They made sure we found whales and followed -- we got great photos!!!!

Second time on this tour, last time was 18 months ago. This provider appears to have larger boats than the other companies; it is much more comfortable to sit inside as you go out to and return from the whale watching site. The guide provided more information than just "there is one at 3 o'clock." I was able to get many great images, thanks to the whales being curious and wanting to stay close to the boat.

saw a pod of 4 Orcas, also some porpoises on the way back into harbor. We had a lucky day, and NOBODY on the entire boat got sick!!!! Was very cold on the ocean, this in late April when most of California was 80 F. Clean boat, nice sized (100feet)

It is better to prepare a windbreaker or warm swrater. The sun of California is very strong and you are very easy to be sun burn.

We enjoyed our trip on the Princess out of Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. The boat was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we saw sea lions, dolphins and whales! The narration and information about the whales was interesting and added so much to the whole scene and experience! Thank you so much!! Ron and Linda Haven

Captain found Gray Whales and Dall's Porpoise. The crew was friendly & helpful and the Naturalist was knowledgeable about the area and Sea life of Monterey Bay. This is our first, but NOT our last trip aboard the Princess Monterey. A good time was had by all!

We had a knowledgable naturalist and a talented captain. The boat wasn't much, but the adventure was fun. Pay attention to weather forecasts; we got back just ahead of the rain.

Kathryn was so much fun and so very interesting and knowledgeable. Facilities and other staff were top notch. Will try to go again on our next trip west.

Great ride, the guide and captain kept us up to date on where to look immediately! Took a lot of great whale photos! Safety of everyone was their primary concern, and they would gently and politely remind people to hold on because of the boat movement. We are looking forward to another trip soon to see a different pod of whales this summer, I wish it was tomorrow! You folks are GREAT!!

beautiful day, but the whales were nowhere near us. they did what they could though. the boat is really nice and they were good.

We took relatives from England on a trip to see the whales. We all had a great trip. Followed a pod of whales for several miles.

Staff and crew are very friendly. Biologist onboard is very knowledgeable of marine life and was very quick to point out any seals/fish or points of interest on shore. Not having an upper deck from which to view was disappointing. Next time, I would look for an operator that uses a boat with upper deck. Overall, satisfactory.
