Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

this was a last minute idea and i was glad i'd taken my lap top so i could book it. we thoroughly enjoyed the trip one of the highlights of our holiday. the naturalist was informative and enthusiastic and the deck hands helpful. we saw 2 types of whale (blue and humpback) two groups of porpoises , seals and sea-lions. the information provided was good and i would totally agree with the requirement for warm clothing. we were lucky the weather was calm but the gentle swell really upset my stomach (i am a bad sailor and was sick despite taking my pills) the ginger sweets really helped. nothing can prepare you for the sight of a humpback whale coming to the surface a few feet from where you are standing truly amazing.

This was a fantastic experience!!! The greatest thing about this company, that I noticed, was that they took turns looking at the marine life with the other tour boat that was also on the water. So, they did not stress out the creatures!!!. They did not chase or cause stress to the sea life or interrupt their natural behaviors. The boat was small enough, heated inside, and not overcrowded! The biologist was cool and the staff friendly. Thank you for an amazingly wonderful experience!!!

We were fortunate to have a whale come up close to the boat. The captain said we were smelling the breath of the whale at one point. Gross smell but awesome. The boat crew went out of the their way to make our trip memorable. Would diffently go again if in the area. Wouldl highly recommend to others. Most enjoyable.

This was a wonderful experience! We were able to see Humpback Whales and Blue Whales. We were fortunate enough to have a Humpback whale come very close to our boat. It was an unforgettable experience. Great boat and staff too!

Saw lots of whales and other marine life. The guide was very informative. When coasting, the diesel fuel smell was difficult for one of us in the party to handle as were the swells but if you don't get seasick easily, it was a "smooth" ride.

We took the 9 am trip and got to see a blue whale and several humpbacks. The staff was friendly, informative, and professional. The boat was clean, comfortable, and not too crowded. Dress warmly and include a snug hat and gloves!

went whale watching aboard the princess cruise on 8/12/10 @ 1330. the weather was sunny but was cold and sea kind of rough when you're out at sea. make sure to wear warm clothes. we saw 5 humpbacks and one big blue whale. some russo dolphins, seals and otters and some species of birds. will enjoy it just to see those whales.

Our trip was amazing! The documentary shows you see on TV don't do the whales in real life any justice at all. Definitely worth the trip and will gladly do it again! Both the dolphins and the whales seemed to be very playful; the whales were having fun jumping really high out of the water, and the dolphins came up and swam right next to and in front of the boat, which was very exciting! The captain and crew were very nice and knowlegeable, and we look forward to going again.

Great weather, calm water, and lots of whales. But, all of the whales were on the other side of the boat. It seemed as though the boat always went to the left of the whales so it would have been better to be on the right side of the boat.... Otherwise, there was a bit too much talking (blah,blah) for me.

The speaker didn't work too well so we often couldn't hear what the captain was telling us. The speaker worked for awhile and then would get static. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially in helping my mother board the boat.

My teenage son and I greatly enjoyed the whale watching experience. We saw about 15 whales. The Naturalist was a pleasant and very informative man. The crew were professional and courteous. Afterwards, we used one of the coupons provided to us by the Whale Watching Cruise to have a delicious lunch on the wharf. It was a memorable day. I highly recommend this company.

My family and I had a great time! We saw lots of whales and wildlife. It was just the right length for the small children. We even had some sunshine!

It was a perfect day. The waters were calm and we saw many, many, many whates including blue whale, even saw a couple of whales breach!!!! The crew was infomative and friendly and we all had just a great, great time and I want to go again. HEAVEN!!!!!
