Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

We thought this was a wonderful experience the boat was great. The pilot was very informative and we must have seen at least 15 whales......it was fantastic and we plan to do it again.

the trip in general was great. the staff was polite and well educated and the boat was beautiful. starting out was fun and exciting with many oppertunities to see marine mamals. the only problem was not of the staff but my own, sea sickness set in about half way through. but accomidations were still made. all in all the trip was a success.

We really appreciate ship cru members help, they was very supportive. We definitely will do this tripe again...

We had a excellent time! Buying tickets was easy and the personnel both on and off the boat were helpful and well-informed.

We enjoyed the whale watching trip on March 15, 2009. We got to see some gray whales, but they wasn't able to get as close as I would have liked to see them. The highlight of the trip was seeing a mother seaotter swimming with her baby on her back. Overall it was a fun trip!

We went out on March 15 and had a great time. We saw a group of about six Greys. The boat was great and the ride was smooth. The weather was nice too. The crew is very helpful and friendly. Only watch-outs: you won't get as close to the whales as you hope and the naturualist's narriation gets slightly off-color.

We had a great time! Followed at least two pods. The shop was helpful, polite and not overpriced at all. The crew was informative and pleasant. All young children were provided with excellent life jackets. We did have a concern regarding children that were not properly supervised by a parent. Too close to the rails, running around the boat and screaming. We do not blame the trip for this. I did tell my husband that if the child went overboard, I would push the father over after her. Can the company post a sign that states - IF YOUR UNSUPERVISED CHILD GOES OVERBOARD, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO JUMP IN AFTER IT. Probably not quite legal. Thank you! A great beginnning to our vacation.

the whale watching was fun & exciting. It was Extremely cold ( especially when you got wet ) so dressing in extra layers is a MUST. Preferably better in the summer then winter and/or spring season ( due to weather conditions ). overall grade for whale watching trip: A-

naturalist was great...very informative...saw at least 5 pods of whales...great fun!

This was my first time. The trip was amazing. I did see gray whales and a jelly fish! That alone had me thrilled!! The captain was great and very informative. The ride was bumpy and it took awhile to find the whales but I still loved the experience. I was disappointed a little with the fact that we can barely see the whales. That was my only disappointment. I plan to go again this summer with the kids!

Distance to whales is very far! I wanted to see them from near side.

We went out in March to see the whales. Our guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the whales. Her sence of humor hurt my 10 year olds feelings. She understond and did not make anymore jokes using her. We followed the whales for about a 1/2 hour as they swam up the coast. Everyone in my party did enjoyed the experience.

It is very good activity to do with friends on a good sunny day. We did it on 7th of March 09. The service is awesome. They first make sure you are seated well, take you to all the possible places where one can see whales or dolphins. We saw a bunch of 30 dolphins right next to our cruise and a group of 4 gray whales. Total worth the money and time.

They used the small boat, not the one that was advertised.for that time. This was my third whalewatch and while we saw more whales than I ever saw before it was so bumpy that I had to hold on the whole time and never took out my camera. I was disappointed.

The boat operator new his stuff. We saw whales and dolphins jumping in and out of the water. We look forward to taking this trip again.
