My family had so much fun with this trip. We saw lots of dolphins, sea lions, couple of whales and the amazing torpedo whales. I highly recommended this trip to everyone. But... be ready of getting sea sick. Other than that, it was a marvelous experience for my family. The Khoo Family Stockton, California

The trip was amazing, we got to see the whales so close we could almost touch them. We could hear them making noise and even got splash with the blow whole. At the end of out trip we got to see 4 dolphins. The experience was great.

Fantastic Trip/Once in a Life Time Experience
Sat, Aug 30, 08   12:00 PM maldonadorrm Female 40-49 Local Group of Friends
This trip was awesome. Took my 8yr old. Saw Humback Whales, came right up to the boat. Also saw dolphins and sea otters. My daughter was excited and said this was the best trip she had ever taken. Very hard to take pictures cause the boat was rocky. I wouldn't take younger than 6 yrs old, not recommended for the quezzy stomachs, my daughter didn't start feeling bad till the end of trip. So she was able to enjoy the boat ride out, she said it felt like a rollercoaster. Once the whales were sited the boat stopped and it was like they knew we were there, cause they came right up to us, went under the boat, did flips, it was the greatest show, ever! Then the dolphins showed up and were racing right along the boat. That topped the show. I asked our group of friends what best part of trip was....Response: when the whales came up to the boat, when the dophins showed up, when you could see the huge tales as the whales were going under.........the last response was from a friend with a quezzy stomach, her best part was when she got off the boat. LOL I Give this a four star attraction. Would I do it again, once is enough but I will never forget the experience. Ritz

The tour itself was fun and exciting. We saw a humpback whale, two killer whales and hundreds of dolphins... that was the most fun part for me. The dolphins were swimming right next to our boat... very very cool!!! I went with my boyfriend, sister and mother. They enjoyed it very much... I, on the other hand felt a bit sea sick and wished I took some motion pills before the tour. But overall, I highly recommend this for everyone.

Whale Watching with the Princess Monterey group

I am blown away. This was the best experience of my life. We saw many humpback whales. Luckily for us, they were not shy and so we saw atleast 7 of them. The guys were pros and they had very professional behavior. The whales were having fun and so were swimming under the boat. They looked regal. I would recommend these folks anyday. One thing to note: This is nature and you might not get the same experience. The ride into the ocean could be a little jumpy, but I enjoyed it very much.

Unfortunately, we did not see ONE whale on the trip we took. Luckily they gave everyone a rain check since we didn't see any... It was pretty disappointing, but hopefully we'll see some next time we go.

Very nice trip

The trip was very good. The crew was professional. They promote having a naturalist on board; however, nothing stood out to make me believe that to be true. The crew certainly knew what to look for and were nothing less than professional and service oriented. We saw a small part of one humpback and four orcas. Our cruise was 3 hours and next time I will take one that is 4 hours. By the time we made it out to an area where the whales were, there wasn't a lot of time to look around. We did spend a great deal of time looking at the orcas - which was amazing and wonderful. We followed the directions of another whale watching group and took Dramamine the night before and a half dose the day of. I don't know if we would have gotten sick or not but we were all perfect. The interior cabin is heated but the fresh air is better to avoid sea sickness. Dress warm even if it is a warm day. Out of the ocean it got very chilly. Several passengers were dressed for the beach and got very uncomfortable. The trip home is simply a high speed trip to get back. This was the only part that I was disappointed in. It was such an enjoyable trip out. The way back was all about getting home and we were going so fast that it was much too cold to be outside and enjoy the water. I would recommend this group if you need a shorter cruise; otherwise, I would find one that is 4 to 5 hours to give you some more time.

Whale watching is not like going to the aquarium. You have to be prepared for disappointments. Sometimes the whales are not visible, like on my adventure. The boat and crew were terrific; the naturalist was informative; the off-shore weather was a typical foggy/cold summer Pacific day. It was a great 3+hours out on the water searching for whales. I am glad this was not my first time; I have seen whales many times in Monterey Bay, just not this time. We did find some sea lions and a few dolphins, as well as pelicans and other sea birds. (August 2008)

Staff was helpful, boat was nice. There weren't whales out at first but our hosts stuck with it until we found some and it was well worth it. Highly recommended!
