Since nature controls the outcome, it was not much to see. We saw two dolphins and two Orca's. As a photographer, I was hopeing for more, but understand that it's difficult to predict the movement of whales. For $120.00 total for the two of us, I wouldn't do this again. |

Only saw one one humpback whale, but that is not their fault. Sign up somewhat slow, but what isn't these days. The princess was clean, had lots of hand holds for the rough water. They offered a guarentee of atleast one whale sighting or the next trip free. |

The weather was cold, but it was a great activity! The kids (ages 8 and 9) really enjoyed seeing the whales and dolphins! |

We went on this trip August 23. Not prime whale-watching season - but we saw one Humpback whale who even breached a couple of times and a small pod of Russo's dolphins from afar. The naturalist who accompanied the trip had lots of interesting information about ocean currents, animals and history. That made the trip very enjoyable and the calm seas made for a nice boat ride despite the lack of critters. |

The wheals were far away, we only saw one type of them. We don't see dolphins or any other mammal. And we only see little pas of three wheals. I hoped more |

One of the reasons that this trip was so successful was that we did our homework: all the adults in our party took Bonine a hour before boarding, so that we could avoid any possible distraction of nausea during the trip. As a result, we were very comfortable with the movements of the boat and could concentrate our attention on the wildlife we were there to enjoy, and on the descriptions and information given on board by the guide. There were passengers who clearly were sick during the trip -- a handful I'd say -- and we were impressed by the staff's quite constant checking on everyone throughout the time on board, and how warmly and effectively they interacted with those who were having difficulties. I do think it would be good to be VERY clear with prospective passengers that they should take something an hour before boarding, just in case. And finally, the length of the trip seemed perfect to me . . . |

It took some time to get to the Whale area but it was amazing to see the great whale. Sadly we only saw one whale with his baby. But nevertheless it was an unforgetable adventure. |

We just happened to be in the area the day before and I stopped in to ask about the upper deck. I was told that I might want to change my reservation to the earliest tour as they had cancelled the last few days of afternoon tours due to choppy weather.
We checked in the next morning and were told that the weather was not good and it was going to be rough. They had already cancelled that afternoons tours. We decided to go anyway as we really wanted to see some whales. We finally saw a spout or two after almost 2 hours. They kept us out a little longer because we would be the only tour going out. We saw maybe part of a head and a few more spouts. That was it. I know this was not the tour companies fault, but it was still really disappointing. I had looked at the listings everyday to see the sightings and was pretty confident that we would see something, as they showed sightings every day. I would classify this as really not seeing anything. And the naturalist kept going on and on about what a great sighting we saw. I guess they have to do that so people don't feel totally ripped off. BTW, the weather and seas were fine, not choppy.
Just understand that it is a total chance that you take on wether you see anything or not and I have been told that the winter time is actually a better time to see things.
I have been on other whale watching tours in Mexico and saw lots of whales every time. |

The crew was very informative and energetic. They put extra effort in to making the experience fun as well as enabling all passengers to view whales and dolphins. Will definitely do it again! |

Very nice and comfortable boat (and big!!! which was importatnt for me, as I am not a brave sailor at all), helpful and friendly crew. We all liked it very much, our 6 year old son especially! Definitely would recommend it to my friends. |

This is wife and my 3rd whale watching trip, the second trip from Monterey. The boat had a great naturalist on board with thorough knowledge of the animals in the bay. Saw 2 Humpbacks this trip. A little disappointing but we still learned alot and enjoyed the trip. Will sail with them again. |

We found two humpbackwhales. One of them near the boat.
We had to go far to see them, but would not have missed this! |

Even though this trip is "only" 3 hours, instead of the 5 hours of the usual trip, we still got to see some whales.
The trip was really good, and the crew informed us well during the entire trip.
Our trip got extended a bit, as we did not see any whales before it was almost over. Worth every penny. |
