Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

This was a good whale watching excursion. We would have like to see more whales but did see quite a few dolphins.

My husband and I went and were really excited about going as it was a first time adventure for us. The weather was nice, but the swells on the ocean were big and the boat felt like it was being tossed all over. We were ok for the first 30 minutes, but then started getting motion sickness. If not for that, we would have enjoyed it alot more. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the biologist narrating the tour was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. We saw a few whales and some dolphins. I would recommend this to others, along with a note to take something along for motion sickness just in case.

Great but make sure you can tolerate the waves. My girlfriend felt really uncomfortable and I have to take care of her during the whole tour.

We took relatives from England on a trip to see the whales. We all had a great trip. Followed a pod of whales for several miles.

This trip was fabulous. We saw gray whales as well as risso dolphins, a sea otter and her pup, and an albatross. I enjoyed every minute of it!

Once in a lifetime experience. We saw many gray whales and dolphins.

Staff and crew are very friendly. Biologist onboard is very knowledgeable of marine life and was very quick to point out any seals/fish or points of interest on shore. Not having an upper deck from which to view was disappointing. Next time, I would look for an operator that uses a boat with upper deck. Overall, satisfactory.

The tour was great; we saw thousands of smaller dolphins, some larger dolphins, many sea lions, many birds, but only a few whales from afar. I enjoyed the trip but my husband got sick and had to join the other few people on the back railing and stay there until the tour was over. I felt bad for him, but I would do another tour to hopefully see more whales and close up this time.

It was my first time whalewatching and was hoping to see something more like what's shown in your photo. Unfortunately the whales weren't cooperating so we were only able to see portions of their backs I assume, from a distance, and some blowing. I will definitely do it again though.

Very clean and professional vessel and crew. We paid for a Whale watching cruise and that is what we got. We were able to see several whales and observe them for quite some time. Take a Dramamine if you think you will need it just to be safe.

My husband and I have been out whale watching many times. We have been taking the kids out for several years now and they have had the pleasure of sharing their experience with friends and classmates.

It takes awhile to actually get to the destination so don't lose hope. At first, I thought the grey whales were disappointing but as we headed back, the hundreds of dolphins coming by was the highlight of the whole trip. The best time to actually go would be 10am. We went at the 9am. It was nice because the wind was calm to light but the fog was a downer. However, every experience is different and I'll like go again this summer!

The sea was slightly ruff that day but still a lot of fun! The captain and crew had a lot of fun facts and great pictures to share as well!
