Princess Monterey Whale Watching Cruises

The trip was great, and especially because of Katherine, the marine biologist onboard. She was so enthusiastic, and provided lots of intersting information about the wildlife we saw.

Distance to whales is very far! I wanted to see them from near side.

I would highly recommend whale watching to anyone. It is worth the wait.

We took the 2 1/2 hour trip, and saw Humpbacks, Dolphins, Seals, and Sea Lions. I recommend taking the later trips as you'll have less chance of fog ans more chance for sunshine. Also, the earlier trips will have likely already found the animals. The captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoy!

Myself and the other 4 members of our party had a wonderful time. Although there were minimal whale sightings, we saw other wildlife and sights. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her job. Would definately go again and recommend to friends.

Our group of 18 people came on this trip mainly for the whale watching. The owner got us a special "naturalist" for the boat trip as I had requested. She did a great job-very informative and very funny. She answered all our questions and constantly gave interesting facts. You could tell she loved her job. I have used this boat company before, and have always been happy with the trips. There is lots of room inside and outside so you don't feel crowded. And the boat was large enough that we didn't get too much rocking. No one got seasick.

THE BOAT CREW WAS VERY VIGILANT AND CARING. EXCELLENT INTRODUCTION TO THE BAY AND WILDLIFE. WE LEARNED ALOT.. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED NOT TO SEE GREY OR HUMPBACK WHALES HOWEVER, WE DID SEE SOME ORCA KILLER WHALES- FROM AFAR . CAPTURED ONE PHOTO OF A BIG MALE !! APPRECIATED THE CAPTAIN WAS IN TOUCH WITH OTHER SITE SEEING BOATS TO TRY TO FIND ANIMALS!! IT WAS QUITE BREEZY , ROLLING WAVES THE BOAT RODE THEM WELL!!. DO RECOMMEND TAKING DRAMAMINE TABS AN HOUR BEFORE - ALSO THE GINGER CANDIES PRINCESS HAS AT THEIR OFFICE MADE FOR COMFORTABLE TUMMYS. THE WAVES WERE REALLY ROLLING !!! AT ALL TIMES THOUGH OUT THE TRIP THE CREW WAS CIRCULATING LOOKING OUT FOR PASSENGERS. AMAZING INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF PEOPLE- MANY FROM FRANCE, GERMANY POLAND, USA, CHINA ETC! AMAZING . WE SAW THAT SANCTUARY CRUISES IN MOSS LANDING USES TRAVELZOO FOR WHALE WATCHING DISCOUNTS. PRINCESS MIGHT LOOK INTO THIS THOUGHT DOUBT THEY ARE HURTING FOR PASSENGERS! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! SOMETHING I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO- WILL DO AGAIN IN THE HIGHT OF WHALE SEASON - MY DREAM!

The naturalist on board was extremely enthusiastic, she was very knowledgable and you could tell she loved her job. We only saw one whale/calf pair. I may have had unrealistic expectations. Also saw a rare basking shark and puffin. The trip back to the wharf was a nice way to see the coastline.

I've gone whale watching in Monterey, Alaska and Hawaii and this was the best trip so far. The captain didn't spent a lot of time 'chasing' whales...he was patient and when we found them he spent plenty of time there so we could enjoy their antics. The Marine Biologist did an excellent job of answering questions and giving information. As usual a couple of people got sick....I wish people would prepare themselves with Dramamine or Bonine....it is the only negative thing I have about the trip....and should have no reflection on Princess Monterey Whale Watching tours. Thank you very much.

me, my mom and my grand-daughter all had a great day of whale watching. Even with the not smooth seas we observed many sea mammals and bird life that day.

Lots of fun, Dolphins, Humpbacks, Killer Whales, and Blue Whales seen. Very successful tour. Knowlagable and informative crew. Highly recommended

Get out of town, get off land and join the Pacific Whale and Dolphin Ecotour for a wonderful view of life on the water.....dolphins follow the boat, seals swim by and all takes on a new viewpoint. Don't be discouraged if you don't see tons of whales...they seem to understand the recent fire problems in the air. You will be fortunate to have seen one. It's well worth the 4-5 hours.

We enjoyed our trip out of Monterey Bay to see the whales. We had not expected to see them so close it is a memory which will stay with us forever. The crew and guide were extremely friendly and helpful and all questions were answered very fully. It was chilly as we sailed even on the last day of June, but a good outing.

1st time for us. Saw humpbacks, otters, seals-was great fun, beautiful day.
