| My husband and I recently took our son (age 7) and our mother on the Movie Bus this september and we're pleasantly surprised that the owner of the line was giving the tour personally. He had great hollywood charm, and lots of personal stories to elaborate on the basic concept of the tour. Matching up the locations with the scenes is interesting, but it is the behind the scene narration that makes the three hour tour fly by.
The only down side of the tour is that most of the movies filmed in Monterey were made before 1960, so you might want to brush up on some classic hollywood before taking the tour.
The bus is very comfortable and every guest is provided personal headphones and plenty of screens to view the clips. The bus makes well timed stops including pebble beach lodge, if you have an extra 50,000 dollars sitting around I recommend the gift shops there.
Over all this tour is a good choice for elderly tourists because of it's comfort and accessibility. It's also nice if you want to go scouting for other places to visit in the area, or want to take it easy after hiking or kayaking. Very young children who travel well are ok, but kids between 5 and 10 might get restless.
If I could change anything I would add a stop in Carmel-by-the-sea because it's so hard to park there, a bus would be ideal. |

| Doug the bus tour operator, can multi-task like no other, carrying on a conversation while driving the bus and pointing out interesting sights. His has a deep knowledge of filmography for the Monterey area.
The bus has plentiful overhead TVs and nice headsets for listening. He took us on 17-mile drive, and we even got to stop at The Lodge at Pebble Beach for a 45-minute break.
What makes this a worthwhile trip is Doug's intimate knowledge of the area. We could have driven around with a guide book, but we wouldn't have enjoyed the experience nearly as much.
The only nit is that some of the movies he showed were filmed in Salinas or farther east, not really in Monterey. |

| My wife, mother and daughter went on this tour. We enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone interested in movies and cinematography. You view clips of the movies on the bus while you are at the location where the movie was filmed. This is as much fun for locals as it is for tourists. |

| My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the Movie Tour. The film clips, tour and little tid bits of information were great. So informative. We loved that the tour included the 17 mile drive. The bus was comfortable. The timing was perfect, little stops to stretch and bathrooms along the way. Thanks. |

| The tour was great! The driver was knowledgeable and interesting. Got to see lots of places we would have missed otherwise. We recommended this tour to a Monterey businessman. |

| During the tour, there were a couple of technical glitches after a brief intro which caused us to not witness the video transition. Other than the glitches, the tour was very informative and quite enjoyable. |

| My family and I usually like to hop onto the city tourist buses when we arrive in a new town - that way you get to see all of the best spots and you can make a note to go back to the ones that look most interesting. The Scenic Movie Tour Bus does all that and a lot lot more - movie fans will love being reminded of the great scenes that were shot literally yards from where they are sitting - Doug the guide / narrator describes each scene as if he was there - he clearly loves the movies. For non movie fans the bus takes you around the magical coastline of Pacific Grove and past the beautiful homes of the mega rich in the Pebble Beach estate as well as the famous Cannery Row and the picture postcard town of Carmel
The tour lasts about 3 hours and is good value for money |

| A fun activity, especially for folks who cannot get around to see many of the Monterey Peninsula sights- our tour was on a super hot day [rare for this area] and the bus was extremely stuffy- could have used air conditioning and/or fans to make the ride more comfortable- the owner provided great narration to the movie clips and anecdotes about the area. |
