| My husband and I are from Georgia and were taking a 2-week vacation up the Calif. coast. I saw this tour on the internet and thought it sounded like an interesting way to see the Monterey penninsula. I had to drag my husband on this tour because he is not a big fan of tours in general, is not a movie buff, and is very hard to please. I was on somewhat shakey ground because I had dragged him to a play in LA that he hated and he had not let me forget it. However, he raved about this tour. It was absolutely fabulous. If you like movies, you will be fascinated by this tour. We were lucky enough to have Doug, the owner, as a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He had just the right touch. The tour is so unique and informative. If I am ever in Monterey again I will seriously consider retaking the tour . Try it! I think you will really like it, whether you are a movie buff or not. |

| I initially heard about this tour on the internet and didn't know much about it. I booked it on a whim being a big movie fan and wanting to see the sights of Monterey on my first ever trip there.
This was well organized and enthusiastically presented by the owner of the tour. The real highlight was being able to see clips of the movies as we were at various locations and while driving around the area. Besides the excitement of seeing the clips while you're at the actual sight, these older movies helped capture what the area looked like long ago and provided a special historical outlook on the area which has changed so much over the years.
It was great to able to stop at a couple of place and stretch our legs. Pebble Beach was a definite highlight as I would have never seen the Lodge or the 18th hole if not for the tour.
Also, since I took the tour on my first day in Monterey, it helped give me a geographical idea of the area and learn my way around while introducing me to some areas I would want to spend more time in.
I recommend this to anyone visiting Monterey, whether movie buff or someone in town for their first visit. It was a great experience and really made my trip to Monterey special. |

| We all loved this tour.A very clever way to see the area .The men liked the 40 minutes at Pebble Beach and I especially loved all the stops related to " A Summer Place".Each of us could relate to movies that were filmed there. Doug ,the tour guide was full of information, and made the tour fun.If we're ever in the area again, we'd all take it a second time, that's how enjoyable it was!!!!!! |

| This was a fabulous tour! It covers a lot of the area, so it's a good way to check out the whole Monterey peninsula, especially before exploring it on your own. The movie facts and scenes along the way made it fun. Doug is very knowledgable about the movies in the area, so you'll be sure to learn a lot from him! I have some new movies on my "rent someday" list that will be neat to watch and to be able to recognize the background (and know that I was there)! Highly recommended if you are interested in movies, history, golf (since the tour does stop in Pebble Beach), or if you just like looking at beautiful scenery! Enjoy!! |

| We just happened to get the owner as our tour guide - he was very personable and seemed to enjoy giving the tour as much as we enjoyed going on it. It's nice to learn some of the history and behind the scenes things you wouldn't otherwise be aware of. |

| Our expectations were exceeded. We had the feeling that it was more than just an informative tour but a mission. If you love Monterey, you will love it even more. If you love the movies, you will love them even more. Nothing but respect for the work Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey is doing. Can't always get sunshine but you will always go away with more than you came with. |

| This was the second time I took this tour. It is the best way to see the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. The bus has state of the art audio and visual capabilities, is immaculate and comfortable to ride in.
Doug, the owner and tour guide, does a fantastic job and is a wealth of information. If you are a movie buff and love the Monterey Peninsula, this tour is a "must do". You won't be disappointed! |

| Great having a local personality in DJ Doug as our guide. He's a warm personality and very knowledgeable of the Monterey/Carmel area. Man, does he know his movies! It was fun watching the video clips as we approached each of the sites that was on them. "A Summer Place" with Troy and Sandra is one of my wife's favorite old-time movies and the theme from that movie is so hauntingly beautiful. The tour was not only movie sites but of the whole Monterey Peninsula (including Carmel and Pacific Grove), one of the most picturesque areas in all the world. We enjoyed the scenery in your comfortable bus and the several places for photo ops. Standing right alongside the 18th green at Pebble Beach was one of the highlights for me. Thanks for a great time!! |
