My wife and I had a blast on tour. Due to a cancelation there were only 4 of us on the tour. The guide, who actually was the owner, treated us like he had a 100 people on the tour. He shared all kinds of interesting facts about Monterey, Pebble Beach, Carmel and the movies that were filmed in these locations. It was a lot of fun!

We found the tour informative. There was a lot of history we didn't know and to compare the scenery from the old movies to present day was great. Things certainly have changed! We had a fantastic time. Thank you.

I'd highly recommend going on this tour whether you are a movie buff or not. I enjoyed our leader's (sorry, I forgot his name) knowledge of the movies that were filmed in the area and his knowledge of Monterey, Carmel and of the people that live there. It was very entertaining. There were only three people in our group, but we still went! I thought for sure he'd cancel. But he still took us. Kudos to him!

My husband and I live in Monterey and had been on the tour before. This time we took my inlaws, 4 in total. They loved it. A great way to see the sights of the Monterey Peninsula and to learn some interesting movie history. Doug and his tour bus are great! Would highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Hollywood Movie Tour of Monterey. Doug, the owner, was our guide. He made the tour very interesting. Doug really seems to enjoy sharing his passion for movies, especially those filmed in the beautiful Monterey/Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach/Carmel surroundings. He was a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend this tour!

My wife and I are long-time tourists of the Monterey Peninsula area; in fact, it is one of our favorite spots to "get away from it all" for a weekend or a short stay. I am always on the lookout for activities, events, and attractions that present us with things we have not done or experienced in the locale before. This time around, I found what I was looking for in the Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey. The Movie Tour is a nice little three-hour tour (not to sound too much like Gilligan's Island) combining some of the best sights of the Monterey Peninsula with the magic of the movies. If you are familiar with movies that are a little older (within the last 30-50 years) you may get a little more out of the tour, as some of the greatest and most featured movie scenes on the tour come from movies such as "A Summer Place", "Clash by Night", and of course, "Cannery Row". Nonetheless, there are definitely things to enjoy for people of all different ages--even if you've never seen a movie in your life! Again, this tour hits a great many high points of the Monterey peninsula; things people like to see when they come to the area, regardless of any Hollywood history. The charm of the movie tour is that it then adds in history, trivia, and the cinemagraphic magic that goes along with the various sights. Further, tourists get to see quite a few scenes from classic movies, and the guide ties them in to what is being seen outside the bus at the same time. The effect is similar to a Universal Studios tram tour with a kind of expanded outlook. The tour also makes three stops along 17-mile drive providing great photo-ops, and a chance to personalize the experience a little. My wife and I found it a wonderful way to enjoy the afternoon. The tour begins and ends at Portola Plaza, which provides for further opportunities to take in picturesque scenery, do some shopping, grab a bite, or even visit any of the three museums within short walking distance. Fisherman's Wharf at Monterey Harbor is not too far down the street from Portola Plaza opening up an even greater range of possibilities. Overall, I would unreservedly, highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the Monterey Peninsula, and looking for something a little different.

My husband and I really enjoyed this scenic tour. It was amazing to see all the different places movies where filmed, and the beautiful historic locations of Monterey and Carmel. We even rubbed shoulders with the rich and the famous! This is definitely an experience everyone should have.
