Great way to see the 17 mile scenic drive and learn information about the area, the sites and its history. Loved spending time at Pebble Beach

Outstanding tour!

This is a wonderful tour of the Monterey Peninsula in addition to the movie history. It was a three hour tour but the time went so fast because it was so enjoyable. The tour guide was terrific with an excellent sense of humor and a lot of knowledge about the Monterey area. I'm not sure how much people under the age of 40 would enjoy the movie history but they will surely enjoy the beauty of the area.

We enjoyed our visit with the owner Doug and were delighted with his knowledge of both movie trivia and the Monterey/Carmel area. He made it a very pleasant experience and we're sure to recommend to others.

Tour guide is excellent

Doug, the tour guide for the Monterey Movie Tour, is a genial and well-informed person as to the movies made in the Monterey area. He provided us with many details about the film clips that were shown and thus enhanced the experience. I did feel that the stop at Pebble Beach for 45 minutes was too long, given that the tour was 3 hours long; no movie information was thus given during this long break. On an overall basis, however, I would highly recommend this tour for movie buffs.

My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much. Doug was a gracious host, very knowledgeable. This was a great way to start a visit to Monterey because it familiarizes you with the area, the options, and the historical sites.

This tour was a good way to see and gain access to a few locations and scenic views otherwise not available to the general public. Doug was a great guide, very personable. Pick-up location was convenient as well.

Great tour, even if you are NOT a movie buff

Doug has put together a tour that shows the most beautiful coast line in the world and you get to see how Hollywood has used it. Most of the movies claim it's some exotic far away place but it's really right here in Northern California. Our friends from Texas enjoyed the feeling of having access to these "Secret" places. I highly recommend the tour especially if you get the picture perfect weather we were lucky to enjoy.

My husband and I had a great time!

After having seen Doug Lumsden on KRON with Jan Wahl, we reserved seats for the Friday after Thanksgiving. There's nothing like being able to see the actual sites in the movies just before seeing them "in person". I think I would have preferred a little less of The Summer Place and a wider variety of movies, but enjoyed myself nonetheless. Thanks!
