| We loved the movie tour, and learned many new facts about local movies that we didn't know before. Although we enjoy the Del Monte Lodge at Pebble Beach, we thought the stay there was a bit long, and cut into what we otherwise could have viewed. We also love A Summer Place, but perhaps too many of the sites we viewed were from that movie. We would have liked to have seen more of films made in Pebble Beach and Carmel Highlands like Play Misty for Me, and some additional clips of movies made locally at sites where you can't drive in. |

| It's really fun to watch the movie scenes while at the exact site where they were filmed. Doug's knowledge of the area and the movie industry makes it so much more interesting.
The beauty of the area is a bonus! |

| As a world-weary cynical Brit, I would normally run screaming from a guided bus tour, prefering root-canal treatment, but the film link and my love of Clint Eastwood films encouraged be to put my cynicism to one side and climb aboard Doug Lumsden's brightly painted bus.
Doug is an entertaining character and a convivial host, his tour is really interesting, and Doug a mine of knowledge and trivia. I particularly liked the moments when you can see the film clip, and actual location at the same time.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour, and that is a rare statement from this cynical Brit.

| Doug, the owner, was the operator for our tour. He brought additional insight into each of the scenes with personal touches as well. It was interesting to view the scenes on the screen as we drove by the same areas which was where they were filmed. He even timed our arrival to coincide with the action in the scene.
Along with seeing movies from the past, it brough nostalgia to the forefront since I had seen most of the same pictures in the theatre. Needless to say, the 3 hours went fast and looking forward to my next trip to Monterey to see what movies have been added to the repertoire. |

| Mom and I had a great time. WE are both movie nuts....I suggested that you sell copies of the movies that have local scenes....we would have bought several of them right then and there.
The driver/owner was so friendly and warm despite the few people on the bus- it made us feel very comfortable..... It would be nice if someday, you had one smaller vehicle- a 20 passenger or ten passenger bus for trips that are smaller in size.
I would do it again and have already recommended it to family and friends and co-workers at The Carmel Foundation.
Hmmmmmm maybe we could work together to do a local trip for members of the Carmel Foundation and if we included a stop for lunch (on their own) it could be really special and be nice during one of your 'slow' days.....Kathy Spake, Director of Volunteer and Member Services, The Carmel Foundation |

| My friends and I enjoy movies and we are of an age to be familiar with most of the movies that were talked about. I particularly enjoyed the manner in which the film was run and then you would be there at the very location. The bus was comfortable and the sound system was excellent. Doug, the owner and our tour operator obviously enjoyed the material he talked about and is a wonderful ambassador for the Monterey area. Much of the tour centers on the 17 Mile Drive so if you are very familiar with this area you might want to rethink this tour, however a member of my group who knew it well thought he got a whole new perspective about it. The high point for me was getting out at Pebble Beach and being able to wander around. Views to die for! The street scenes of Monterey and Pacific Grove were more fleeting and not to much of Carmel. I also think this tour would be of greater interest to young people/foreign visitors if there was more history of the area included as what was included is quite fascinating. Also this is not a tour for young children. When I think back about it the 3 hours went speeding by and there is something to be said for "leave the driving to us." |

| Doug, the owner of Monterey Movie Tours, has done a wonderful job of putting together movie clips from many movies and then driving us by where the scene was filmed. He also stopped the bus and allowed us to get off 2 x, once along 17 mile drive, the second at Pebble Beach, so that was wonderful too. A very enjoyable tour, I did not want it to end! GO!
