Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey

This was a fun trip around Monterey and Pebble Beach. Great for movie buffs.

We really loved this "behind the scenes" look at movies & sights of Monterey & Carmel. It was obvious the tour guide truly appreciates movies & CA, so the his insights were wonderful. It was a terrific way to spend the afternoon and view the various points of interest. We enjoyed lunch at Pebble Beach Golf Course, since we were given 45 minutes to explore the golf course and its shops. I would caution patrons that most of the movies that are referenced are quite old, so younger patrons might not recognize the movies or the actors. We are senior citizens, so we truly enjoyed the tour. We would recommend this tour to visitors to the area!

We were looking for a way to see the sights without my having to drive and navigate the unknown area. I found Monterey Movie Tours on the internet and was not disappointed. Doug delivered an energetic and knowledgable tour around Monterey and his personal anecdotes added just the right touch to the tour. The route he chose was absolutely beautiful and the film history along the route was extensive. I would never have been able to enjoy the countryside or learned the historical significance of the sights if I had driven and navigated myself. Doug's personal knowledge of the film industry and his own personal history in Monterey made for a most enjoyable tour. Just as a last note, you can purchase tickets at the pick-up point, if room on the bus is available (not always assured). But I purchased from the internet before arrival and took advantage of the internet discount that was available.

We enjoyed our afternoon. The waves were high and gorgeous! The movie locations and films were interesting.

We were celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday, she is a movie buff and was thrilled with the venue. The movie choices and commentary were excellent, as well as the scenic vistas. I would highly recommend the tour!

love the "radio voice" of our tour host. really loved the fact that we actually stopped at Pebble Beach Golf Club. great opportunity for souveniers and making that "maybe someday I'll play here" wish.

Very entertaining. Not only a view of movie scenes with descriptions but driver (and owner of company) also provided a lot of other trivia that made the trip enjoyable. Well worth the time and money.

I was surprised at how entertaining a "tour" can be. Local guide was very informative & experienced in area & movie industry. He set up each scene so you felt like an insider! Great time.

We enjoyed every aspect of the tour! We learned about the area, the movies, Pebble Beach, local history, and great stops to visit, where to shop and eat! Our compliments to the tour guide and owner Doug, for all his comments and his welcoming personaltiy that added much to the tour!
