| Organization was important to me and the tour was well described in brochures and on the Internet. I bought two tickets through ZERVE, on the Internet. I was inspired by an article I read on the site which was written by a freelance writer who had been on the Movie Tour. The article was printed in the Travel Section, San Francisco Chronicle, February 29, 2004. I found it with GOOGLE, "Monterey Movie Tours."
1. Parking in a covered garage, close to the tour departure. CHEAP! $5 for all day.
2.15 minute orientation from owner/driver Doug provided an overview of the history of the Monterey Movie Tours by bus. Established his credentials as a native of the area and his contacts with notable movie greats who reside in the area.
3.Timing of the tour and the three stops off the bus.
4. Knowledge of the history of the Peninsula in addition to the movie sites filmed in
the area. A great variety in the sites. Nothing was duplicated.
5.The small friendly group of eight people was a bonus for the ease for quick exiting for each stop. Reboarding seemed to provide more time and certainly easier to have the best view for photography.
6. Among the group were visitors from Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Colorado. One was from Korea and two from the bay area and local.
7. A great stop at Pebble Beach Lodge overlooking the Golf Course and the Bay. Five of the group spent the time on the deck, shared a table, and ordered a cold beverage.
All the elements of a good tour was enjoyed with the balmy weather, sunshine, and incredible scenery. I would recommend the tour to anyone who plans a visit to the Monterey Peninsula. Mary Mueller, San Jose, CA

| It was enjoyable to see and hear much of the Monterey Peninsula history from someone who seemed to know it well. The Movie Tour portion was fine, with my only complaint being that it should include more movies and not rely so much on "A Summer Place" and on Clint Eastwood. It sometimes seemed as if Eastwood was a sponsor, inasmuch as he got so much promotion. Also, I was under the impression there had been at least 200 movies shot around the Peninsula but we heard about and saw only a few. Less of sites from "A Summer Place" and more varied movies would have added substantially to the tour. |

| Pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the tour. Neither of us are rabid fans of modern movies (sex is not a spectator sport) but the clips of flicks from an earlier era brought back happy memories. |

| Doug, the owner, was the operator for our tour. He brought additional insight into each of the scenes with personal touches as well. It was interesting to view the scenes on the screen as we drove by the same areas which was where they were filmed. He even timed our arrival to coincide with the action in the scene.
Along with seeing movies from the past, it brough nostalgia to the forefront since I had seen most of the same pictures in the theatre. Needless to say, the 3 hours went fast and looking forward to my next trip to Monterey to see what movies have been added to the repertoire. |

| My friends and I enjoy movies and we are of an age to be familiar with most of the movies that were talked about. I particularly enjoyed the manner in which the film was run and then you would be there at the very location. The bus was comfortable and the sound system was excellent. Doug, the owner and our tour operator obviously enjoyed the material he talked about and is a wonderful ambassador for the Monterey area. Much of the tour centers on the 17 Mile Drive so if you are very familiar with this area you might want to rethink this tour, however a member of my group who knew it well thought he got a whole new perspective about it. The high point for me was getting out at Pebble Beach and being able to wander around. Views to die for! The street scenes of Monterey and Pacific Grove were more fleeting and not to much of Carmel. I also think this tour would be of greater interest to young people/foreign visitors if there was more history of the area included as what was included is quite fascinating. Also this is not a tour for young children. When I think back about it the 3 hours went speeding by and there is something to be said for "leave the driving to us." |

| We were unable to do the tour last year as you were fully booked. This year we did, and loved it. It was the day beffore the tropical storm, so the ocean looked very scary and it was so windy but this added to the tour and the amazing views.
The juxtaposition of the film clips to the ride was so well planned and so many of the films were known to us. Doug took the tour and how fortunate we were we to have him!
Such a fascinatng and interesting afternoon and well worth the effort of driving to Monterey for the tour |

| This tour was so much more than a movie tour. I really enjoyed hearing the history of the area and seeing the beautiful coastline of the Monterey Bay. Seeing the movie clips, then seeing the spot where they were filmed was awesome. I had no idea that so many movies were filmed or had scenes from this area. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and really knew his movies and history. I have lived in this area for over 30 years and this is the first time I have taken this tour. From now on, it will be a must when I have visitors. I highly recommend it. |

| I have been to the Monterey Peninsula many times,as I live nearby. This was a different and great way to show friends who come to visit., especially if you are limited on time and want them to experience this beautifu area! This tour was fantastic; enjoying the scenery as I didn't have to drive. Doug, the tour guide had stories that added local color. I am a movie buff, having owned a video store for ten years. It was great to see clips from old movies, filmed here. Doug, the tour director was great, very informative, and really knew the history of the area! |

| This is a must do tour for movie buffs past and present. We thoroughly enjoyed the manner in which clips of the movies were presented in conjunction with the tour of the area. There was never a dull moment with our enthusiastic , personable guide. There is definelty something fascinating for everyone, whether it's a particular movie or the beautiful scenery. We are locals and have a whole new perspective of our home! We look forward to sharing this experience with family and friends. |
