| We are both movie buffs and have lived in the area for 10 years, so when this tour just recently crossed our radar, we jumped on it. A friendly hello and beautiful, first-class coach greeted us the Portola Hotel and soon we were tooling down Pacific to the melodic sounds of Ethel Merman while viewing title clips from some of the many movies shot in our area. Prior to the tour, my base of information were some posters at the Whaling Shed in Pt. Lobos or a few varied and incomplete lists gleaned from Google.
Doug runs his tour like a treasure hunt and the hidden gems, be they film locations or local folklore keep appearing. Places we've driven by 100 times have suddenly taken on a new meaning and interest. We have ordered many of the movies mentioned to view or rewatch in their entirety.
Yet what is most touching, being locals, is to watch and note the reaction of folks who have come to visit (most from SoCal on our tour, escaping the fires). They are treated to some of the best there is to see and experience on the Monterey peninsula and clearly leave the tour with a better understanding of what makes our home so special. In their words: it's an "E" ticket |

| I live locally and wanted to give my 92 years young mother and out of town guests an overview of Monterey. Doug provided a magnificant day with perfect weather and a very unique perspective of central coast. The bus ride covered more than I had hoped for. It is clear that the owner has done his research and provides his guests with a real treat. A big "thumbs up" to Monterey Movie Tours. |

| The tour was well done, and very factural, which we liked. Accomodations were comfortable. Would recommend taking own water.
Wanted to hear more on Doris Day, too bad cant go down Ocean ave in Carmel. The stop at Pebble Beach was enjoyable. We enjoyed Dougs knowledge of
Movies and the Monterey area.... Thanks. Al and Joyce. Will recommend to our children |

| Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the movies and scenes that were filmed on the Monterey Penisula and would have otherwise been unknown to us since very little credit has ever been given to this area for the making of these films. The cost was well worth it and my wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much. Thanks for a very wothwhile experinence. Anyone visiting the area should not pass up the oppurtunity to take this three hour tour and gain a piece of movie background that otherwise would not be known. |

| We have wanted to take this tour ever since we found out about it a year or two ago when we visited Monterey. We have been to Monterey many times on vacation and pretty much know our way around. We have done some research on our own regarding movies which have been produced in the area, but there could be no comparison for watching the actual movie scene and then looking out the window to see the actual site. Sometimes the location looked identical to the movie scene and other times imagination had to be used, but what a thrill to be on location! Much time was obviously spent creating the presentation which we enjoyed, and the research done was impressive. Our driver/owner really knew the details and his presentation, warmth, and enthusiasm all added to the experience. If you are a movie buff, don't miss this. We sat toward the rear of the bus on the left side and felt we had great seats for the tour. Our only disappointment was that the advertisement said that complimentary water was going to be provided, but we never did see any water--maybe the driver forgot. No biggie. There were enough rest stops where we could have had a drink if we needed it. The driver even stopped at an unscheduled time so one of the passengers could make an "emergency" rest stop. While waiting at that location, the driver was able to entertain us with more movie trivia. What a great tour. Recommend it? YES. Worth the money? YES |

| We are very familure with this area and traveled the same roads in our own car, but we saw everything with a new eye on the tour. Doug was very interesting to listen to as he told the history and sites of so many movies. We very much enjoyed ourselves, and have recommended this outing to others. |

| This was a great tour! Highly recommended. Our guide, who identified himself as the tour company owner, was personable and knowledgeable. Anyone who likes movies and especially film history will find the tour most satisfying. Because of this experience, we will look for movie tours in other locations. |

| My wife and I are long-time tourists of the Monterey Peninsula area; in fact, it is one of our favorite spots to "get away from it all" for a weekend or a short stay. I am always on the lookout for activities, events, and attractions that present us with things we have not done or experienced in the locale before. This time around, I found what I was looking for in the Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey. The Movie Tour is a nice little three-hour tour (not to sound too much like Gilligan's Island) combining some of the best sights of the Monterey Peninsula with the magic of the movies. If you are familiar with movies that are a little older (within the last 30-50 years) you may get a little more out of the tour, as some of the greatest and most featured movie scenes on the tour come from movies such as "A Summer Place", "Clash by Night", and of course, "Cannery Row". Nonetheless, there are definitely things to enjoy for people of all different ages--even if you've never seen a movie in your life! Again, this tour hits a great many high points of the Monterey peninsula; things people like to see when they come to the area, regardless of any Hollywood history. The charm of the movie tour is that it then adds in history, trivia, and the cinemagraphic magic that goes along with the various sights. Further, tourists get to see quite a few scenes from classic movies, and the guide ties them in to what is being seen outside the bus at the same time. The effect is similar to a Universal Studios tram tour with a kind of expanded outlook. The tour also makes three stops along 17-mile drive providing great photo-ops, and a chance to personalize the experience a little. My wife and I found it a wonderful way to enjoy the afternoon. The tour begins and ends at Portola Plaza, which provides for further opportunities to take in picturesque scenery, do some shopping, grab a bite, or even visit any of the three museums within short walking distance. Fisherman's Wharf at Monterey Harbor is not too far down the street from Portola Plaza opening up an even greater range of possibilities. Overall, I would unreservedly, highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the Monterey Peninsula, and looking for something a little different. |

| Having spent quite a bit of time in the Monterey area this tour was ok. The sound system in the bus made a lot of noise and was annoying. The movie information was interesting and it brought some new character to the area for me. |

| The Monterey movies tour was superb. The owner of the company gave a thorough explanation of movie scenes accompanied by playing the locations on video screen. The stop at Pebble Beach was awesome. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone as a "must". |
