| I took this tour with my sister who lives in San Diego. I am a local resident having lived on the Peninsula for over 20 years. Taking this tour with my sister I once again realized what a magnificently pictueresque area Monterey truly is for any movie director.
It was just a lot of fun seeing actual movie sights and how Hollywood can make Pebble Beach appear to be England. The tour guide gives you Hollywood insider tips which are good for a laugh or amazement.
One aspect of the tour anyone would like is that you see the entire Monterey area in a three hour voyage and you don't have to drive it yourself, get lost, or pay the entrance fee into the 17 Mile Drive...you can sit back, relax, and leave the driving to somebody else...it's worth the price of admission to anyone who is in charge of dragging guests around on a vacation!
The tour guy has a soothing, Hollywood voice, who is adept at driving and providing fun facts of movie land all at the same time.
AND if you've ever wanted to see the 18th Hole of Pebble Beach this is the tour for you...there is a 40 minute stop over there and you too could have a glass of wine at the Pebble Beach Lodge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the 18th Hole where the greatest of the golf world have played...just be sure to set aside $16.00 for that glass of wine!!!! ha ha
ENJOY...oh, kids would not really be interested in this tour...I doubt they'd appreciate the movies of Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Rooney...Take a date, leave the kids somewhere else...

| Director was knowledgeable and entertaining.
Having been to this area many times, some areas were unnecessary.
For first time visitors, this is almost a must.
Bus seats were a bit too close = uncomfotable.
Head sets seemed to break easily. |

| My husband and I booked the tour mainly because we enjoy the movies (actually going to the movie theater) but after seeing the clips and sites of many of the older movies such as "A Summer Place" - "From Here To Eternity" etc. we have decided to rent the DVD's and enjoy them again with our new knowledge of the history of the films.
The entire three hours was filled with film clips, a wonderful narration by our tour guide, Doug, and stops at some of the most scenic and beautiful places on the Peninsula.
We would highly recommend the tour to anyone wishing a more intimate knowledge of the films, sites and magnificent landscape. Doug made the scenes come alive for us with the personal stories of his experiences and relationships.

| Organization was important to me and the tour was well described in brochures and on the Internet. I bought two tickets through ZERVE, on the Internet. I was inspired by an article I read on the site which was written by a freelance writer who had been on the Movie Tour. The article was printed in the Travel Section, San Francisco Chronicle, February 29, 2004. I found it with GOOGLE, "Monterey Movie Tours."
1. Parking in a covered garage, close to the tour departure. CHEAP! $5 for all day.
2.15 minute orientation from owner/driver Doug provided an overview of the history of the Monterey Movie Tours by bus. Established his credentials as a native of the area and his contacts with notable movie greats who reside in the area.
3.Timing of the tour and the three stops off the bus.
4. Knowledge of the history of the Peninsula in addition to the movie sites filmed in
the area. A great variety in the sites. Nothing was duplicated.
5.The small friendly group of eight people was a bonus for the ease for quick exiting for each stop. Reboarding seemed to provide more time and certainly easier to have the best view for photography.
6. Among the group were visitors from Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Colorado. One was from Korea and two from the bay area and local.
7. A great stop at Pebble Beach Lodge overlooking the Golf Course and the Bay. Five of the group spent the time on the deck, shared a table, and ordered a cold beverage.
All the elements of a good tour was enjoyed with the balmy weather, sunshine, and incredible scenery. I would recommend the tour to anyone who plans a visit to the Monterey Peninsula. Mary Mueller, San Jose, CA

Family Without Children |
| My father was stationed at Fort Ord and the family moved to Salinas after he retired in the early 60's. We had many years in Monterey County before some family members settled in other areas of California. My husband and I have lived in Salinas with our own children since 1965.
The four of us siblings have a special weekend together a few times a year. After hearing about Monterey Movie Tours on Magic 63, I checked the website and decided this could be a very interesting and entertaining event for our next gathering. They were excited about it, too.
Finally our weekend came. The weather was beautiful, and the three hours flew by as we toured through Monterey County. The clips we saw from the numerous films - many of which were so familiar to us - were brought to life by seeing the actual sites along the tour. Our guide was a wealth of information and trivia, had a sense of humor, and was always willing to answer our questions.
It was wonderful to have this extra layer of life added to our lives' path in Monterey County. It was not only fun, but gave us an additional appreciation of this beautiful area, along with a strong desire to revisit many of the movies we learned about on our tour.
We all strongly recommend that visitors - and locals - take this interesting and fun tour.
Thank you for sharing the entertainment and local beauty in such a delightful way! We will definitely bring others back with us for a tour in the future.

| Whether you are a film buff or not, I think everyone would enjoy this tour as the scenery is gorgeous, the (3) stops are interesting and the bus is very comfortable. I learned a lot about local history as well, and I particularly enjoyed the stories our enthusiastic guide told us about the area and the celebrities he has met over the years. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed the movie tour. It was very exciting to be able to see actual movie scenes on the monitor while parked in front of the actual location scene. It was a thrill. The tour guide did a wonderful job and offered a a lot of insight into what went on behind the scenes. We had a great a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

| We love movies. We love this area and are proud that so many films have and are being made here. My mother is 91... she had a great time remembering the older movies, especially the beach scene "From Here to Eternity"! The ongoing commentary about the local stars, real estate prices, etc. was very entertaining. The weather was beautiful, the music wonderful, and the sea gorgeous.
