This is definitely a good way to start your tour of Monterey. It takes you to places you would never think of going. Movie buffs would definitely enjoy this time. It also gives you ideas on places you may want to visit in the future. |

We are from Pacifica, CA and visit Carmel/Monterey couple times a year. So happy we discovered the tour bus and really enjoyed the whole trip. The driver was very professional and courteous. It'll be a great gift for family and friends. Thank you. |

This is a great tour that combines love of movies, beautiful scenery and local lore. Our awesome tour guide, Doug was cheerful, informative, and offered a lot of fun trivia factoids. When a large group failed to show up as scheduled, instead of canceling, Doug took just me and my sister on the tour . . . now that's above and beyond the call of duty! |

Delightful Interlude on Monterey Peninsula

Doug, - the owner and our tour director - was passionate and knowledgeable about both movies/related trivia, and history of the Monterey Peninsula. Seeing movie clips while cruising through locations where they were filmed was a unique, entertaining experience . Nostalgia time for me watching Elizabeth Taylor - my favorite actress when I was a child - riding horseback in National Velvet, Clips featuring Doris Day, Kim Novak, and Marilyn Monroe brought back fond memories of movies past. My husband was more taken by seeing the Pebble Beach Golf Course up-close and personal. We enjoyed relaxing with a margarita overlooking the 18th green at the Lodge. Doug's enthusiastic, easy going presentation was peppered with colorful tidbits of information. Breathtaking scenery along the way. Enjoy!!! |

We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see "the magic behind the movies" and visit actual locations. It gave all of us a fresh look at Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove. The host was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The coach was clean and comfortable. Seeing the homes along 17-Mile Drive was a bonus! |

My wife and I have considered taking this tour for the past several years, whenever we are in Monterey, but we never have. This time we booked the tour for our most recent stay. It was a highlight of our trip. Doug was our tour guide. Along with being a genuinely nice guy, his enthusiasm for our small group was as if he was giving the tour for the first time. You can tell that he is passionate about the places, history, movies, people and their lives, which makes the tour all that more enjoyable. We were not really that familiar with most of the movies but it didn't matter. It was very cool to watch a scene on the monitor inside the bus and then look outside the window to see the exact same place. We would recommend this tour to anyone considering it. |

This was our first visit to the area, and the tour was not only oriented to the movies that were filmed there, but also the natural beauty of the area. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Showing the movie clips as we approached the locations was novel and enjoyable. Cruising the 17-mile Drive through Pebble Beach with a stop at The Lodge at the Golf Club, was such a nice way to see the area with someone else driving and narrating the fascinating scenery. Most remarkable of all, the day we toured, another large group cancelled at the last minute and Doug carried on with the tour anyway for just the two of us! That was an amazing thing to do, and he was just as entertaining and organized as he would have been for a large group. I highly recommend this tour and plan on taking it again when I return with a group of friends. |

Not only their movie locations of past but he gives a good description and view of the areas highlights including the 17 Mile Drive and then 45 minutes at the Pebble Beach Golf Resort. |

This tour was fun and interesting! This was our first trip to Monterey and we couldn't have picked a better tour of the area. The movie clips that were shown and the areas where they were filmed were so cool to see. Our guide was great to listen to, he provided a lot of information that made us feel like we were old friends! Highly recommend to anyone visiting this area! |

We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Monterey, the 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, and Carmel through the eyes of Hollywood on the Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey. Doug, the owner and host, added many details and anecdotes about the many movies that have been filmed in the area. As we drove by the movie locations, we watched the matching movie clips, enhancing the experience. We stopped at Pebble Beach Lodge and had time to look around the lodge and see the 18th green. There were incredible photo opportunities at each of the three stops. On this tour, we saw all the highlights of the peninsula and had a lot of fun along the way. |

We are "quasi-locals"--from Cambria; we have visited the Peninsula many times. This was an opportunity to see familiar things in a new way, and new things we hadn't known of or experienced.
As our guide (the "owner") stated, this was two tours in one. The movie focus was unique and very interesting. The "basic" tour was enthusiastically presented and equally as enjoyable.
Thank you. |

Very charming tour; our guide was very informative and entertaining! Highly recommend this tour if you don't have a lot a time to explore Carmel/Pebble Beach/Monterey. Our guide suggested dinner at the Carmel Mission Ranch Restaurant - one of the best meals I've ever had and Clint Eastwood dined about 12 feet away! |

Picture yourself on a clean bus with headrest covers embroidered with names of movie stars. Listen to the voice of guide and local radio personality Doug L. who knows the area, knows the gossip (but says only kind-hearted things) and who keeps the tour interesting with knowledge and humor. I admire how he respects the privacy of Monterey area celebrities, but still has many good-natured stories to tell. The tour is well paced and allows for short breaks. The monitors overhead show clips from movies filmed in the area, just as you drive by the location: National Velvet. A Summer Place, Turner & Hooch, and many, many more. See Marilyn Monroe working at the Cannery! Watch Doris Day almost drive off a cliff! Headsets assure that every passenger hears every word. My husband and I are from southern California and grew up around celebrities. This tour was still fascinating and well worth the price. |
