This was a blast! We know the Monterey area pretty well, and we know old movies pretty well, and the combination this allows is wonderful fun! Possibly not for the easily or very car-sick, as watching on-board monitors and refocusing almost simultaneously outside the bus was occasionally vertigo-inspiring, but otherwise, I recommend this to anyone who loves movies and/or the central coast. Locals also should go! |

Doug (the owner/operator of this tour) provided a perfect package for a three hour trip from historic Monterey through the 17 Mile drive. The bus was exceptionally comfortable with large viewing windows and at all times Doug kept our interest with entertaining moments showing the various movies which had been produced in the area and all the while the scenery was breathtaking. The tour was nicely paced. I would recommend this tour highly especially to those who are over 40 years of age. |

My husband and I took the Scenic Movie Tour of Monterey and had a great time. What was particularly enjoyable is that the experience combined the history of the Monterey area spiced with movie facts. The tour guide was upbeat and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would have preferred a few more camera stops, but overall, it was a delightful day. |

This is a great way to see Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel if you don't want to drive it! The tour shows clips of famous movie scenes shot in the area, as the bus is pulling up to that scene. The tour operator gave a running commentary of the area during the tour, and gave plenty of opportunity for people to take pictures of the spectacular scenery. A half-hour stop at Pebble Beach Golfclub was the highlight. Lots of information about Cannery Row, Pebble Beach and Carmel as you're seeing it. Highly recommended. |

We wish we'd taken this tour on our first visit to Monterey! It was so much fun to learn inside facts about the area -- like who lives where -- plus it was a beautiful drive. If you like movies, the movie trivia will delight you. You won't see films the same way again! We enjoyed the time at Pebble Beach Golf Club, too -- fun to watch the foursomes finishing up on the 18th hole. Our guide was warm and wonderful. All-in-all, a happy memory and well worth the time. |

We felt fortunate that we were even able to take the tour, as our tour guide, (also the owner of the company), got on the bus extremely ill, and at first was going to cancel the tour! However, trooper that he was, after a small break, he came back and said he could do it after all. We were quite relieved, as we had looked forward to this tour for quite some time. The tour took us to the sites where some of the most famous movies of all times were made. As I am passionate about classic movies, this was quite a treat for me. Cannery Row, Pebble Beach, sites in and around Monterey and the 17-Mile Drive were included. I was glad that the 17-Mile Drive was included, as there is a fairly steep charge to go on it on your own, and while it's a beautiful drive, you're mostly looking at the summer homes of a lot of extremely wealthy people, while being reminded of how middle-class you are. Besides that, we enjoyed seeing where A Summer Place, Play Misty for Me, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Big Bounce, The Parent Trap and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir were filmed, just to name a few. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves classic movies. It was a beautiful and memorable drive through one of the most beautiful areas in California. We really appreciated our tour guide taking us on the tour and doing a lovely job in spite of his condition. He provided loads of movie facts, also information about Monterey, and surrounding areas, and all while we were riding on a lovely comfortable tour bus. |

This was an absolutely awesome tour! I thought it was going to be just about movies, but I learned SO much about the Carmel/Monterey area! I was truly impressed! I wish I had taken the tour the first day we arrived in Carmel, so we would have known more about the area sooner. I would heartily recommend this tour without reservation! |

Great orientation to the area, and particularly nice if you are the driver on your vacation, as you get to fully look at the sights you are driving by. Would do this early in your trip. Tour varies somewhat depending on what movies the tour guide selects for your trip. My personal preferences: my particular trip seemed to focus on older movies rather than more recent ones, and would have preferred to spend less time at the Pebble Beach site, and instead see more movie sights or spend more time at the Lone Cypress. Tour guide is extremely knowledgable and a weath of information--would take the tour just to talk to him! This is a must do if you are in the area, and I may do it again, as would likely see some different sites on another day. Afterwards, If you have time to go to Point Lobos park, stop by the little cabin that has a display re what movies were filmed @ that park--Rebecca, etc. |

With only two days in the Carmel/Monterrey area, we felt we would see more by taking a tour. We were so happy that we did. It was fun and we got to see all the sights! Doug is warm, friendly, and so knowledgable about the area. |

Overall, this tour was well worth the money. Not only did it include history on past movies filmed in the area, but it also included a tour of Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. Our tour guide, Doug, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There were 3 stops along the way to take pictures along the Monterey Bay Peninsula coastline, which included an extended stop (approximately 40 minutes) at The Lodge at Pebble Beach....a haven for golf fans! I highly recommend this tour especially if you want to get a quick glimpse of the Monterey Bay area. |
