Monterey Movie Tours

I love movies, so the tour was a very special treat for me. The tour stopped at the locations where movie scenes were filmed. We were at the exact same spot where the movie stars were...Marilyn Monroe, Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis, etc.! Doug is a terrific tour guide! I would recommend this tour to everyone!! It's fun to go on a tour when you can tell the guide loves what they are doing!! Very informative!! The 3 hours flew by.

Mom and I had a great time. WE are both movie nuts....I suggested that you sell copies of the movies that have local scenes....we would have bought several of them right then and there. The driver/owner was so friendly and warm despite the few people on the bus- it made us feel very comfortable..... It would be nice if someday, you had one smaller vehicle- a 20 passenger or ten passenger bus for trips that are smaller in size. I would do it again and have already recommended it to family and friends and co-workers at The Carmel Foundation. Hmmmmmm maybe we could work together to do a local trip for members of the Carmel Foundation and if we included a stop for lunch (on their own) it could be really special and be nice during one of your 'slow' days.....Kathy Spake, Director of Volunteer and Member Services, The Carmel Foundation

I traveled to CA to participate in the Big Sur Marathon and stayed for a few days in Monterey after the event. I decided to book this tour and was very happy I did. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and, of course, about the movies. The tour includes scenic 17-mile Drive, Pacific Grove, Carmel, and a stop at the Pebble Beach Golf Club, which was beautiful. I highly recommend this tour. It was relaxing and fun, exactly what I needed after the marathon.

I enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it to anyone who is traveling into Monterey/Carmel. It doesn't cost very much and is worth every cent.

My cousin, from New York State, and a friend from Sacramento LOVED the tour, film selections, convenience of the pick-up, comfort of the bus, background information on the locations and films, and the three stopping points. In fact, we each made a list of DVDs that we plan to view or re-view. We have recommended the Tour to friends! Thank you for a memorable outing!

I really enjoyed the movie tour. I already recommended this tour to my relatives who visit the Monterey area twice a year. I do feel people from an older generation would enjoy this tour more than younger since most of the movies scenes shown are for older.

The tour leader was extremely personable and informative. The sights were interesting and breathtakingly beautiful. The tour bus was very comfortable with plenty of well-placed screens for viewing movie scenes as we looked at them in real time. I highly recommend the tour for both visitors and locals. I've been on it twice now and could happily go again tomorrow.

All four of us, including one man, enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide, Doug, grew up in the area so has a tremendous amount of background knowledge. Highly recommend this tour for adults, especially older ones who will remember more of the movies and actors.

As I took your tour I was very happy with the knowledge and info provided as we proceeded along the route .BUT!! To be told to turn off my video camera and that NO continuous filming is allowed due to copy write laws and infringement was not only a load it was also embarassing!!! No where in any info that was provided to me before I took this tour was there any disclaimer stating that continuous filming was not allowed ..If you do not want this to take place on your tours then it should be stated in the info provided before the tour is taken.Not everyone in this world is out to infringe on someone elses rights!!!! I simply was having a great time and was totally in the zone.Well until that happened and of course spoiled the rest of the tour!!!!!! I will never take this tour again simply because of this embarassing and stupid assumption. Regards Mr. L. Mills

The movie sites and movie clips at the same time was a real addition to a tour of a truly beautiful area. Enjoyed the commentary as we drove along and the stops along the way.

Such a wonderful tour! Doug really creates the visual for you as well, so that you feel like you are there in the moment that the movie was made. He also takes such good care of each passenger, offers to take pictures for you, and gives a wealth of info. I highly recommend this tour.

No matter how many times you have been to the Monterey area or if it is your first time this tour is wonderful. Doug is a first class host and knows so much about the area. The movie facts and clips just add to the entertainment. We loved the tour, scenery, company and luxury ride.
