Monterey Movie Tours

My girlfriend Tiffany and I visited the Monterey Peninsula this last weekend. She's been up there a few times and this was my first trip. We stayed in Pacific Grove and had a wonderful time. One of the highlights of our trip was the Monterey Movie Tour. Doug was our tour guide and was not only very knowledgable about the movies filmed in and around the area, but was very passionate about the history and the beauty of the surrounding area's. At first I wasn't very excited about the tour and I did it initially for my girlfriend. I have to say I loved it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that's a movie buff...but It also is simply a great tour of the peninsula. Doug was fantastic. I've already sent him and his company a thank you email for treating us to such a wonderful time. I loved it!

It was very imformative. Some of the scenery was beautiful. The movie clips were a nice touch. We enjoyed the stops and hd plenty of time at Pebble Beach to shop or have a cup of coffee or soft drink. The guide was very knowledgable about the area and the movies.

This was much better than I expected. The drive itself was so beautiful and the commentary was informative. The guide is so knowledgeable. He avoided the corny and silly remarks but just focused on the interesting information. I learned more than I expected about the area and enjoyed seeing and hearing about the locations of the movie scenes. The time at Pebble Beach was great and enjoyed wandering around and taking in the beautiful views. I highly recommend this. My only complaint is that it was too short - I wanted to hear and see even more.

My wife and I had a good time and the host was really informative and did a good job.

We really loved this "behind the scenes" look at movies & sights of Monterey & Carmel. It was obvious the tour guide truly appreciates movies & CA, so the his insights were wonderful. It was a terrific way to spend the afternoon and view the various points of interest. We enjoyed lunch at Pebble Beach Golf Course, since we were given 45 minutes to explore the golf course and its shops. I would caution patrons that most of the movies that are referenced are quite old, so younger patrons might not recognize the movies or the actors. We are senior citizens, so we truly enjoyed the tour. We would recommend this tour to visitors to the area!

Doug knows his product and is very genuine and has an obvious love of the movie industry.Hand feeding the squirrels give the trip a nice surprise.Be sure to take a little bribery of food,as they are not interrested in small talk.The Lodge at Pebble Beach is a real treat.Overall a very nice experience I would recommend.

The Monterey Movie Tour was a complete pleasure to go on - the guide was well-informed and entertaining and the scenery and movie scenes were perfectly timed. The bus was clean and comfortable, allowing for a wonderful experience. The only drawback would be the extended break at Pebble Beach (it felt like we were there longer than we needed to be - I'm not a golf person so I got somewhat bored). Otherwise, highly recommended!

I'm from Dublin, Ireland. My friends here in Marina toured me around the Monterey Peninsula quite a bit, but this tour was a wonderfully unique way to see the Peninsula. Brilliant!! (P.S. Don't forget that the MGM Grand lion was born in the Dublin Zoo.)

We had a great time The tour guide was entertaining and very informative. The audio and video were very high quality and well-timed. The bus was very comfortable, also. I highly recommend this tour to visitors and residents of Monterey bay area!

I enjoyed this tour as much as my friends from out of town did. The movie trivia was interesting and arriving at the sites was well-planned... and the weather was picture-perfect that day!

It was fun to ride along and be taken back to days gone by when movies were black and white and still alot of romance. Pebble Beach was fun and being told the history. If we did ourselves we wouldn't have known any of that.
